AFTER A LONG AND SLEEPLESS NIGHT OF WORK, EXTENSION IS FINALLY COMPATIBLE WITH TRACK VERSION 3.2 !!! πŸ˜…


Everything in the extension has been updated and relocated to fit the redesigned layout and I also have completely redesigned walls physics to better fit the visuals


If you have an old version installed, I highly recommend to completely remove the lasvegas23 folder, to install version 3.2 from the provided link and then to install the new extension 1.2


Please note that I have no intention to follow every update of this track until it has a more persistent design. This process has been very time consuming and other tracks extensions are coming soon (yes even during the winter break πŸ˜‰)

This weekend, F1 Circus has never deserved its name more than it does and goes to Vegas for the first ever Las Vegas Grand Prix!

So I think we can all agree that the Las Vegas layout is "probably" not the best track of the season πŸ˜‰

Even so, a lot of work have been put in this extension to make it at least a little bit closer to the real one.
Is it perfect? Surely not!
But it's almost the best we can have this weekend with this mod without recreating a complete new track and I am pretty sure it should be probably fun to drive with friends

[Issues with some CSP versions]

This track extension has been tested and designed for CSP version 0.2.x

It can work with previous versions but if you have some issues it is recommended to use the latest one. You can get it there:

[FPS Saving]

If you need more FPS, you can try to disable two things in file
[layout_f1_2023\extension\ext_config.ini] :


1. disable additional track light by setting
[INCLUDE: ../../common/ext_config-pyyer-lasvegas-lights.ini] to ACTIVE  = 0


If that doesn't improve things,

2. disable new sphere animation by setting  
[INCLUDE: ext_config-pyyer-lasvegas-sphere-2023.ini] to ACTIVE  = 0

Still working on the purple texture issue,
I haven't been able to reproduce but v1.0.2 could solve this
(updating CSP to 0.2.0 would solve this also)

Content Manager cannot install extensions directly so you have
to manually extract the extension to your assetto corsa folder

Track doesn't work with newest version anymore

Well I did not receive a reaction so far but I still wanna report that at least for me Las Vegas at night does not work with Pure - it does not get dark, no matter what I do, which time is set. When not using Pure 2.1.5,latest CSP, i.e. Live weather, all is fine. Not sure if it's me, if others can confirm and maybe it even gets fixed with 2024 version which I am looking for a lot. I think it is a nice track overall. What I could also remark is that on the starting grid the cars are not aligned properly i.e. the first rows are positioned way before the markings on track. Not sure if that can be fixed maybe. Thx.

To inhibit lights fix and get the original track lights, you can edit the file: tracks\lasvegas23\layout_f1_2023\extension\ext_config.ini and set [INCLUDE: ../../common/ext_config-pyyer-lasvegas-lights-fix.ini] ACTIVE = 0

Hi Pyyer! Have you a plan to improve FPS to your Losail? It's the only circuit by night with a high FPS drops. All others (always by night) works very good! Thanks

Update 1.2.1 is a shocker,track is just WHITE.And the view is just DARK all over,deleted that update straight away.I play in VR and the only issue I have is from the start line ,through the 1st corner,going towards the 2nd corner is where I get a frames hit,drops from 72 frames to 35 frames,then back to 72 frames for the rest of the track.But track looks great.

I can’t get it to look right compared to what i game seen reviews of online. I’m running 3.2 and 1.7 of CSP. No animated bill boards etc. my pc / gpu is more than strong enough. Any ideas?

Thanks for the update! It brought back so much fps. One thing, the heineken boards at T1 (where T1 meets exit of pit) flicker a lot in replay. To be more clear, the boards that are showed after looking down from sky-angle in the track cam included in the original track.

I lost many fps, at night, on starting straight, from 70 to 30. Start is terrible against 19 AI. After the first lap I return to 40.

First of all thank you for your work, I wanted to point out that in my case with the extension activated I lose a lot of fps, this happens especially when racing at night. In the normal version of the track this doesn't happen. Thank you!!

found this maybe it helps: (tested myself and when the FFBclip app is activated i get the race canceled message) "I found the culprate for my "race cancelled" for every track /car issue: the FFBClip app inside assettocorsa\apps\python\FFBClip\Config dir , deleted the 2 ini files (Combos.ini and FFBClip.ini) (for me they were both massive big , +50Kb , and no longer readable via notepad, so I guess they got corrupted somehow) Now I can run aC sessions again (also with the FFBClip app turned on)."

Thanks for the fastastic work! Do have a lot of issues with CSP 0.2.x. Still in development!. So optimizing for for the last stable version CSP 1.79 is the more sensible option imo.

Thanks yes it got rid of the purple track v1.0.2,CSP 2.0 seems to effect the frame rates,might try going back to CSP 1.79,suddenly getting a warning as game loads.

No,the purple track is still there with the update 1.01 . It looks like purple camouflage across the whole track,same colour as the FLY TO DOHA sign.Only the pit area is normal coloured ash felt. Have photos of track using recommended CSP v0.1.79.

Few people struggling with FPS, definitely lower than the stock nuke version, especially around the start/finish. Pinned it down to the lights you added to try and balance out the track lighting. I've got a similar result by making the track slightly emissive instead, with zero performance overhead compared to the light series - [MATERIAL_ADJUSTMENT_...] ACTIVE = 1 DESCRIPTION = Make track slightly emmisive to even out the lighting MESHES = ?visual1ROAD?,1PIT,1ROAD?,?KERB?,GroundT? KEY_0 = ksEmissive VALUE_0 = 255,255,255,0.016 VALUE_0_OFF = ORIGINAL CONDITION = NIGHT_SMOOTH Probably can be done better, but something to think about

Awesome!! Only thing is I notice with the real track that the barriers are a lot closer in a lot of places, especially in T14-15-16. The nukedrop mod is pretty good but it definitely has some shortfalls, given that it came out a good month or so before the track was even built IRL!

Beautifully done! I think the Nukedrop mod is incredible. I know he's put a lot of work into it over the past year and a half (at least). It could be improved in some areas now that we've seen the actual track (especially turn 1/2, and the pit exit), but I would gladly take it as-is. And adding this extension just brings it all to life. I'm so thankful for guys like Nukedrop and Pyyer!
