The Haunting of Calrow Ruins

Halloween might be over, but that doesn't mean we can't have one last horror-themed adventure! "You can hear them at night when the mist creeps in off the lakeshore, jibber-jabbering like madmen trying to form words. For years they’ve haunted me, but still I can’t fathom what it means, as if some half-formed mind yearns for the power to speak for itself…" Complete with character hooks, this 14 page adventure by Aaron Infante-Levy is suitable for 2nd-4th level characters. Illustrated by Sade.

Was a nice adventure to run for one of my first ones. And now i'm running a homebrewn in the surroundings. One thing i didn't expect from my group was they tried REALLY hard getting Lady Bridgette Nydaridien and Lord Comsfor Polding married.. And with a lot of roleplaying they made it happen, so now years and YEARS after a new group of new faces arrive in a new and rich city, maybe with some bodies in the basement. -Jesper

Thanks MNBlockhead! I hope you enjoy incorporating it into your campaign! I'll check back now and then if any questions come up about "The Haunting of Calrow Ruins."

I enjoyed it and am looking forward to working it into my campaign. I especially like the instructions and tables for scaling the Gibberling encounters. Normally, I would like to know the total number of antagonists so I can track how many remain in total as they are encountered. In this instance, however, I think that the outerworld nature of the threat and the potential unlimited number that can been encountered until the breach is sealed adds to the sense of horror. I also like how the adventure not only pits the party against monsters but involves them in a dispute among nobles and further includes a challenge on putting a ghost to rest. There is a lot packed into this little adventure will plenty of room for hooks to future adventure. Good stuff!
