I worked at several different early game companies, starting before you were born. We developed for Amiga, IBM PC, Atari ST, Macintosh, CD-i, and probably a couple others I don't remember. I'm disappointed because I've never seen any of our game characters in RPO, in spite of the fact that they were popular enough in their day ('Zombie Dinos From The Planet Zeltoid' for gosh sake!).

2025-08-23 21:48:54 +0000 UTCThat end big battle with all the characters is the throwback of throwbacks to all of the games I played starting as a kid on my little atari (yes I'm THAT old) and I LOVE it! This was such an amazing movie and I'm so glad you loved it! And I think you got more references than people gave you credit for. Good job!!

While I will always prefer the book, watching you enjoy the movie so much caused me to give it a second chance and enjoy it more than I initially expected. I know youβre not always into reading the books, but Ready Player One is fantastic. Plus, there is a sequel Ready Player Two, and Armada, which is by the same author and deals with video games. Bonus fun fact: I grew up in Columbus, where this movie/book is primarily set, and I moved to Beaverton, OR where Armada is set. When I told Ernest Cline (the author) he said, βIβve been watching you.β Creepy, but fun.
