LOSER of the LOSER POLLS

We haven't had a losers poll in a minute - and someone suggested a poll of the ones that lost the loser polls.. the ultimate losers lololol (with a couple of regular losers too because it turns out I have not had a ton of loser polls!)

What would you like to see??

Comments

Has anyone suggested Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog? I dop not see it on Ashleigh's spreadsheet of movies she's received. I mean, I know its not really a movie... but it's got Nathan Fillion, and Neil Patrick Harris. Would be a good tangent from Buffy since it by Joss Whedon.

Mark Hanley

Mannn... Ruthless People is a GEM... Bette Midler, Danny DeVito, Judge Reinhold, Helen Slater, come on people!

Jaybiam

I'm 100% ok that Ladyhawk is beating my vote by 1%.

Alaskan Two Spirit Wolf

Hi, yes, hello Ashleigh, we briefly met on YouTube yesterday and it was a pleasure to finally meet you and finally see you in action playing that video game. Like I said yesterday, I only began watching your videos two weeks ago, your main channel and your second channel. I apologize for sending you two direct messages on here. I just wanted to say hello and thank you for the opportunity to finally meet you and thank you for giving me so much joy and happiness. When I saw your video on Dolly Parton’s tour bus, you said you didn’t know why you deserve all the support you have gotten the past 5 years. It’s because you’ve relatable, funny, perky and overall so genuine and a kindhearted person. The world needs more people like you in this world. Again, I’d like to say thank you for bringing me and so many others joy and positivity. Keep on doing what you’re doing and I hope to talk to you again on Twitch tomorrow. Thank you so much! 😊

Sofia The Music Nerd

Meatballs, sorry but Ashleigh does not get to see one of her future x's in one of his first movies, as lead. Bill Murry is the lead, filmed while he was still doing SNL. sorry Ashleigh, I voted for Meatballs....

Glenn Swider

I hate then soundtrack to Ladyhawke so much… it pulls me out of the setting of the movie so hard.

TravizzivarT

Really looking fwd to watching you react to Ladyhawke. Fun, adventure, romance, all in a medieval setting. Who could ask for anything more?

Doug Law

The Secretary

Blu Holbein

@AshleighBurton can we see Flashdance in August or September?

Mr Marvelous

This has nothing to do with the pool. I figured I’d throw out another really good comedy in my opinion. It’s called soap dish. The actors at least some of them are Sally Field, Kevin, Klein, Robert Downey Jr., Kathy Najimy, Whoopi Goldberg and a few others I can’t remember the names of. Basically it’s about the drama that occurs on the set of a soap opera. So funny in my opinion. My vote is for ruthless people. I haven’t seen any of the other movies unfortunately. But I plan on watching them since everybody seems to like at least three of them.

Mary Alice

I’m up for that too, I’ll throw a wheelchair! Ruthless people!

Mary Alice

Ladyhawke is a great film for us fantasy-lovers. But seeing Ashleigh’s track record for fantasy…she may not enjoy it. Mermaids, on the other hand, has Winona Ryder, Cher, Bob Hoskins, Christina Ricci (in her film debut), AND Michael Schoeffling (Gorgeous hunk Jake Ryan from “Sixteen Candles”). Set in the 60s, a comedy-drama about a single mother and her two daughters (Cher and Winona are both excellent, by the way). An absolutely underrated GEM of a movie! Ashleigh would love it . I would rather it be Mermaids neck-and-neck with Ruthless People in this poll (Ashleigh would love that one as well…Bette Midler is hilarious!), but Mermaids is hands-down a better pick than Ladyhawke.

Eric Fremen

I love them all except I have never seen or wanted to see Xanadu.

Alaskan Two Spirit Wolf

Please make your next poll about movies where the characters behave badly. Include the movie Sex, Lies, and Videotape

thom phillabaum

Ladyhawke is a film I think you'd like. Rutger is pretty good in it.

King Nero

it would blow her mind

David Iser

Mermaids! You'd really love it.

Shara

Ruthless People is amazing!!!

Huemon Nottabear

It would be a blast to see her watch Porkys lmao

Kimberly Polson

Please, please, PLEASE, please watch Mermaids (1990), too! Ladyhawke (1985) and Mermaids (1990) are the runaway leaders in this race! You will love it so much, and I'd hate for you to miss out! Love you, girl! ♥

fire12wife

That is a film where watching once was enough for me. It has great set design and Tim Curry as the Devil, but it just doesn't work for me. I will say I watched the extended cut incase you would ask.

James Moyner

I'm so torn between Ladyhawke and Ruthless People that it HURTS! Hey, Ashleigh, you also need to check out Legend sometime. It features a baby Tom Cruise and unicorns.

Wendy Smith

I think Ashleigh will love mermaids...she loves cher and winona ryder

Aaron Collett

I never heard of Ladyhawke

Leigh Nathaniel Silver

Would luv it to be Meatballs, but I do think Ashleigh will get a kick out of Ladyhawke (poll leader at the time of this comment).

Marvin Just Marvin

Also, Michael Schoeffling and Bob Hoskins! They are both so charming in it!

fire12wife

Agreed! Maybe she will watch them both, if it comes in 2nd?!?!

fire12wife

For sure! It would be a shame if it came in 2nd place, again!!!

fire12wife

PLEASE LET MERMAIDS WIN!! 👏🏾

Missy Schmader

You GOTTA watch Mermaids!!! Cher goodness!!!

Nicole

Mermaids!! Although Porky's and Meatballs were both a close second.

ssb031

OMG! The genres are all over the place, comedy, horror, course humour , romance, fantasy! Watch them all! Another pic if not already done ‘Moonstruck’, ‘Nothing to Lose’, ‘Chocolat’, ‘Like Water for Chocolate’ (series.

Sunlit_Soul

If Ruthless People doesn't win, I'm gonna throw my wheelchair.

IK the Troll King

ABSOLUTELY AGREE

IK the Troll King

Dave.

Cosmic Slice

Odds are kind of against her loving it, given the track record, loll.

Cosmic Slice

Man, I really want Ruthless People to win this...Ashleigh would have such a good time watching it.

Cosmic Slice

If you want to get technical, his first film was “Next Stop, Greenwich Village” (starring Christopher Walken) in 1976. Meatballs wasn’t until 1979.

Scot

I always thought Xanadu was a lot of fun and I listened to the soundtrack over and over.

Scot

Any chance youll react to sinners?

Rey R

Can we watch the loser? That will make voting interesting.

Marcus

I went with Ladyhawke. I love the story and the acting. Hate the music and costumes. Would love to see this one remade.

CRockey12

Ashleigh would enjoy Mermaids.

Alison

I mentioned this before, but the 4th of July falls on a Friday this year. That being said do you think Ashleigh should do one of the "Franchise Friday" movies (whichever one wins the polls), or perhaps something more patriotic and "4th of July" themed? If so which movie should she watch? Patton, Pearl Harbor, Born on the 4th of July, The America President and of course...Team America World Police, seem like some solid choices to me!

Anthony

Shhhhhhhhhh!

Joe Blankenship

Yeesh, hard to pick when none of them pique your interest. I went with The Blob. Some good effects in that movie.

Joe Blankenship

Such a good list, hard to pick! But you will LOVE Ladyhawke. I remember going to the theater and seeing this as a teenager and getting “shushed” multiple times by the adults that were sitting in front of us.

Lisa Steuerwald

I could not agree with you more. I can already see her cackling all the way through this movie

IK the Troll King

I THINK WITH HER LOVE OF MUSIC XANADO

Eric Feldmann

About Ladyhawke: Ashleigh doesn't really like fantasy. I LOVE that film and it would be a bummer to not have her love it.

Jennifer Russell

Come on. You know her type of sense of humor. Porkies would be awesome. Not to mention how hard will it be to edit 😃😃😃

MidNite1869

Ladyhawke!! A lot of good options here, but I think you'd really enjoy Ladyhawke. Also, really appreciate these types of polls, to let some of the perpetual also-rans have a chance at the limelight.

Zephyr (AD)

Go Ruthless People... Directors of Airplane/Naked Gun/Top Secret, plus the cast, it should be the only choice people are choosing.

Jerome Davis

Come on people, Ruthless People is a must: Bette Midler, Danny DeVito, Judge Reinhold, Bill Pullman, Helen Slater, Phil Hartman, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen... Directed by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker (you know, the guys behind Naked Gun, Top Secret, and Airplane... all films that Ashley dies laughing at). She needs to see this movie.

Jerome Davis

I'm going with Meatballs, Bill Murrays film debut.

karl balstad

I would be happy with Mermaids or Ladyhawk. But I vote for Ladyhawk.

Evening Star

really think you would love mermaids

Ashley Thomas

Ashleigh, I think you would love Mermaids, even if it doesn't win the poll. It has Cher, Wynonna Rider, and Christina Ricci in it and it's a really good story. :)

Echo Moon

Me too! Where my crush on Rutger Hauer started, long ago and far away.....

Maria Torres

Ok...so...this needs to be said and I will leave it here: EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE MOVIES I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU WATCH ANYDAY OF THE WEEK!! They are ALL fun movies to see and worth anyone's time! ALL HAIL 'OLDER CLASSIC MOVIES'!

Michael Parker

Ladyhawke!! It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I had a math teacher that would put the soundtrack on when it was time for us to do our work, too.

Ben and Gininda Samways

I SWEAR… if MERMAIDS WITH CHER DOESN’T HAPPEN!!! 😤😤😤😤

Nostalgio

I’m torn between Ruthless People and Ladyhawke so if either wins I’ll be happy. Though Porkys and Mermaids are good as well.

Brian Booher

Ladyhawke is so fun and amazing

Lynne Bronson

It's the debut movie of Christina Ricci!

Insane Ian

This time it's actually true when we say that a movie has Bill Murray in it. Meatballs has Bill Murray in it!

Michael Buhl

Ladyhawke!!!!

Michael McSwiney

NGL, I've never even heard of or looked up "Mermaids" before, but this thing has Bob Hoskins, Cher, *and* Winona Ryder?? What a trainwreck. Amazing. For that alone, this gets my vote (which, as the Head Loser™ here, counts for 10).

Nestor Custodio

Can we call it a tallywaker?

Bill Bevins

Ruthless People! Danny Devito and Bette Midler, it's silly and hilarious

Amy Beaird

Agree 100%! Plus a BABY Christina Ricci!

Emily Gray

Voted for Porky's. Yes it's tacky but it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

Bill Bevins

Oooohhh! Too many good ones on here!! Xanadu, Mermaids, Porky's...

Emily Gray

Pleasepleaseplease be Ladyhawke . . . .!

Renee MeowMeow Beans

These are all must watch imho.

Stephanie Wahl

My sentiments EXACTLY!!!!! 😆

Renee MeowMeow Beans

Xanadu is losing…..I have no faith in humanity anymore…..

Christine

Come on folks, let's watch a ruthless, evil Danny DeVito :-)

Markus L.

I’ve always asked for Ladybawk

Ricky P Kraus

LadyHawke is great.

PlaceForFaith

Just because it came out when we were young doesn't mean it's good. It a mediocre film at best. Ashleigh would like the romantic arc in that movie, but not much else. She would LOVE all of Ruthless People.

Graham Martin

Omg...LADYHAWKE

Blu Holbein

Oh nu! This one is so hard!

K. Fehribach

You should just put Mermaids on your schedule. Not enough of your patrons are going to show it the love it deserves, lol. Cher, and another favorite you've mentioned, Winona Ryder. 'nuff said.

Renee S

I know! It's at 93% on Rotten Tomatoes! Ladyhawke, meanwhile, is....meh. Which do you think Ashleigh will enjoy more? RP 100%

Graham Martin

Bette!!!

Jassell B

Wow Ladyhawke doing well that's surprising. Still hoping for Mermaids or Ruthless People

Marstux

Ruthless People is GREAT! For "The Blob," consider the original with Steve McQueen from 1958.

Andy Schreiber

Ladyhawke!

danzthename

Ruthless People was directed (not written) by the ZAZ team (Airplane!, Police Squad, etc). How it loses...

David Simon

The Blob!!! Yes please!

Cal

No Schindler's List?

Erik Pollet

LADYHAWKE! Speaking as a Gen Xer, we had it so good in the 80s! So many fantasy and scifi films at the time!

GrimmFable

Mermaids is the underdog classic.

Shaun Stacy

For me it's a toss up between Meatballs and Porky's. I'm going for Porky's because I know it probably won't win, but someone needs to give it some love. (P.S. I hope you and hubbin are enjoying your vacay!)

James Sharp

I think you would enjoy MERMAIDS (1990) most, but I must vote for XANADU (1980) for camp-comedy reasons. 🪩

AuntVes

LADY HAWKE!! FINALLY some 80s fantasy!

Anais Hilator

sit down Porky's its Ruthless People's time to finally shine!

Skip

I'm guessing this will be a close race

Grumpy Santa

Come on people...Ruthless People is so much fun!
