Now, it's obvious that firing Wes, Cordy, and Gunn was to protect them. Since Angel wants to fight 'the war,' he only wants to risk himself. My question is, is it natural that someone who started out doing isolated cases would end up coming to the conclusion he has to go attack the Big Bad, Wolfram and Hart? And what's his endgame -- what does he get if he wins, other than simply 'we've gotten rid of a bunch of powerful evil people'?...
