UPDATED: George Wendt poll

I'm not going to watch cheers for him - so judging by how few votes many movies (which I'm removing from this poll) got and researching IMBd here is an updated poll.

I'm sorry if I'm the one to break the news to you but CHEERS star, George Wendt passed away yesterday. I know he was probably most known for this TV shows & voice work but he also has PLENTYYYY of movies to choose from.

If you're new here, when a celebrity passes away, I try to watch something in memory of them - so here are several to choose from.

How did I find this list? googled "George Wendt movies" and started at the bottom for oldest - because Millennial Movie Monday. (I'm starting to explain how I create these polls because I get so many shitty comments and messages about it)

Somewhere in Time is already on the channel.

I hope The Little Rascals finds its way to another pole because it’s great, but George Wendt only had a brief cameo in it.

I’m glad to see fletch winning the pole, it would also be a good avenue into fletch lives, which is the sequel, and in my opinion, the superior movie.

I hadn't heard about his passing so just reading about it here, RIP "Norm". Like many other comments, I don't immediately recall his parts in movies so I would have had to do the IMDB thing to create a poll list, too. I always try to choose the movie where the person we are memorializing has significant screen time and/or the movie that I believe Ashleigh will enjoy the most.

CinWin

Too bad “Outside Providence” isn’t on the list, it’s a hilarious underrated movie.

Christy

I voted for Forever Young, he's only in the beginning of the movie but I think Ashleigh would love the movie anyway. Mel Gibson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and "baby" Elijah Wood!

Emiko Stinson

Haven't seen/remembered George Wendt in many Films... Thus "Fletch"...

James Falato

I went with Fletch, as it's a favorite. Wendt is really just a bit player, but it amuses me that he is a dealer and junkie. That said, it is very much an Gen X Man movie, IMO and Chevy is a specific taste that is probably not in vogue these days. I'm curious just to get Ashley's reaction to it. Possibly leading to a review of Get Fletch - a mediocre but amusing hang out of a movie????

Fletch would also be a memorial for Joe Don Baker who passed away a couple weeks before George did so all the more reason, along with it easily being the best movie on the poll.

David Zabel

Another good movie with him is Man of The House with Chevy Chase and Jonathan Taylor Thomas

Grumpy Santa

Love watching you laugh so Fletch got my vote.
