FRANCHISE FRIDAYS in JUNE!
Added 2025-05-13 13:22:13 +0000 UTCTBH I know it sees early but I really was obsessed with the alien movies and filmed them all in the first week of may because.. well.. I'll talk about that down below in case some want to skip reaction spoilers. BUT it's time to pick some thing for June.

OKAY SO -
Alien 3 is already out so you know my thoughts about that but as I think about it more - I really enjoyed the story about crashing on the prison site. I HATE HATE HATE that we killed out Newt & Hicks right out of the gate - like I don't know what the rest of the franchise has in store but I feel like Newt could have had her own film or something - maybe a prequel about her people before she was the only one left. I dunno. The puppet was trash tho - listen - I cannot imagine building and puppeteering that thing - but it was trash lol
Resurrection: At first I was like.. what in the cash grab... but the whole cloning and DNA and being part alien... DAMN SO GOOD. The basketball shot??? FLAWLESS. UGH. I loved this movie. Weaver did an amazing job at just being CREPPY ENOUGH to show the difference between her and her former self. The scene where she finds her previous bodies.... crazy.
AvP - I HEAR YOU - It's not "canon" but HOLY FUCK did I love this movie. Are you kidding me??? You didn't want me to watch it because it's actually part of the predator universe but like alien is in the name AND THAT ENDING??????????????? I stg I almost flipped the damn table over. I also enjoyed learning more about Predators and their history - very interesting and incredibly fleshed out imo. I did watch Predator 2 to prepare for this movie... and it's a movie.
AvP Reqiuem - WHAT A FUCKING LET DOWN. Dude I was so hype for the crossover creature. I feel like so much could have been done with it - and maybe there was more stuff done with it BUT HOW COULD WE FUCKING SEE IT??? That movie was so dark for NO reason. Definitely left me wanting more - the shortest film of the bunch so far and it felt the longest.

Ashleigh the AVP Requiem is last of the let down. The more recent 3 are the prequels to Alien 1-3. It shows how the Xenamorph started. Yes Sigourney "I hope I spelled it right" isn't in those. Btw when you watch Jurassic world see if you can guess who grabs up Margaritas while the dinosaurs attack the park.
