2025-05-12 00:16:13 +0000 UTCI watched the film with you during the Watch Along, and I haven’t seen this version since its release. The Director's Cut is so much better! I love this movie. I know it has its critics, but I see it as a fun and exciting addition to the franchise. The only aspect that bothers me is the ending, particularly how Ripley kills the Newborn. I feel terrible for it. The Newborn was nice to Winona Ryder’s character for the most part because it recognized her as Ripley’s friend, and it was so happy to see its "Mama." Its heartbreaking cry when it gets betrayed is truly sad.
