Green is life. Trees, grass, bushes. All green. Green also stands for wisdom.

I started typing this huge long comment about the locations in THG, and decided it'd be better to just say, "Hey, there's this cool video that explains why the Capitol is probably in Utah, you should check that out!" /o\

First of all....I LOVE Joanna! Being from Oregon, I'm technically from District 7 myself. (If you were not aware, Panem is actually the US and the districts are various regions - District 7 being the Pacific NW - and the Capitol residing somewhere in the Colorado area if I remember correctly...) Joanna has always been a fighter and a rebel and as such, the Capitol has punished her time and time again by taking away everyone that she cares about. So when she says "there's no one left that I love." she meant it. She literally has nothing to lose - which is why she fights so fearlessly. Yes, trees do have 'running' water in them. Fun fact: If you get a stethoscope and listen to a tree, you can hear water being pumped through it- almost like a heartbeat. (learned that at outdoor school in 6th grade). Makes you respect trees a little more as a living thing. Now just a heads up, the next movie is a little bit slower. It is by no means a bad movie! It is just a bit more focused on backstory and strategy so they can save the good stuff for the last movie. It is a little more political so make sure you are good and awake when you watch it so everything makes sense.
