2025-03-27 17:00:02 +0000 UTCAs an Angel hater, I will say he does get better in his own series and it definitely has some great moments and iconic buffyverse characters, but I might be the outlier here and say that you're fine not watching it if you don't want to. There are some cool tie-ins, but I frankly don't think it's life or death if you don't head over there.

However having watched Angel since there are some really good cross overs in Buffy S4/Angel S1 that I wish I had seen in the proper order. Then some smaller ones in Buffy S5/Angel S2 that were nice to see. So you can watch them and enjoy them in any order but if I could go back I would watch both series together in order. I would also say Angel the character evolves a lot during his show that the actor and character wasn't really allowed to on Buffy.
