FUTUTE EX HUSBAND POLL

What's a birthday without a lil bit of eye candy??

There is a mix of choices here - but all focused around my future Ex husbands! Now while I cannot fit all of my on screen loves in one poll; because let's face it, it would be like 100 choices, I'm focused on a few that we haven't seen in a while! (With the exception of Keanu Reeves in leather for the matrix because... leather)

This might be a hard poll for some because of all the options but what's life without variety?

Comments

So many Steve Martin movies better for watch episodes than "House Sitter". I don't think you've watched "The Man With Two Brains" or "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid".

Tim Stiles

My Steve Martin suggestion would have been All Of Me - but Parenthood is a good choice too.

Whisky Canuck

WE COME FROM FRANCE!!! She needs to see Coneheads... all-star cast, hysterical, Tainted Love... NIBS!!!

Jerome Davis

Parenthood is such an underrated movie

Desi Jeffers

love Kingpin, haven't seen it in AGES!

Timothy Camilleri - TopcatsLair

OMG YES!!!! but we'd need one more for a Steve Martin Franchise Friday and she's already seen The Jerk. Oooh.. what about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels?? OOOKlaahomaoklahomaoklahomaoklahoma

ssb031

Absolutely! I've been lobbying for All of Me ("back in bowl")🥰, and My Blue Heaven ("the shoes are tragic")🤣for a while. I know she will thoroughly enjoy both.

CinWin

SAME!!! Don't give up. If we keep requesting it, she'll get to it eventually. She may even hit us with one of her "surprise" posts. I just love those.🩷

CinWin

Such a great movie and cast!!

CinWin

Wouldn't it be grrreat if we could get Parenthood, HouseSitter AND Bringing Down the House?!

CinWin

I'm also totally ready to see how the kids push Ashleigh's buttons...like they push mine.🤣

CinWin

That's a really good point. So many of us that joined the channel in the very beginning did so because we truly enjoy watching younger generations experience the movies that have been part of our best memories.

CinWin

Keanu has the best line or monologue in Parenthood. Joaquin Phoenix is in the movie too, such a baby then. It's a great cast. I don't want to ruin too much more. Joaquin is so young she'd never see it.

CRockey12

My husband & I had a proud parent moment when our oldest was in a dart gun fight and yelled, "You made me play second base!"

CRockey12

I'm selecting "The Goodbye Girl" for Your Next-Ex Reaction because Richard Dreyfus is My Generation, and I feel You should see as many Films of We "Baby Boomers" while We're still here to follow You as We can... And - oh yeah - He happened to've Won the "Best Actor" Oscar for this one...

James Falato

King Pin is non stop laughs!

King Nero

Yep! I adore this movie! Love movies with multiple story lines and a huge cast of characters!

Christina M.

What about Bob? is HILARIOUS. :D

Eric

Parenthood is SUCH a good movie... PLUS you get a bonus extra future Ex-husband because Keanu is in it too!! It's Twofer!!

Liz Zero

Honestly shocked at how well Coneheads is doing.

Kenton Kruger

Parenthood is one of my all-time favorites! So THRILLED it's winning! Y'all got great taste!

Julie Schwartz

Ooohhh.. yeah I forgot about that one!!

ssb031

Also, Bringing Down the House with Steve Martin is a GREAT movie too! Just sayin!

ssb031

Or What About Bob? Richard Dreyfus, Bill Murray twofer!!

ssb031

Me too!!! OMG I LOVE that movie! When I saw that option I was like, YUP!! let's gooooo

ssb031

I'm so glad Parenthood is winning! This was a huge movie for me growing up. My mom and I watched it all the time and we still say lines from it 😂

Emily M.

I love this poll! I'm honestly going to be happy when Ashleigh views any of these, but I have to say my vote went to Parenthood without a second thought. It is still one of my favorite movies & I absolutely adore Steve Martin. I won't give away the cast since we all want you to be surprise, but it is truly a chef's kiss lineup. I hope it stays in the leads 🙏🏾

Vicious Trollop

I love My Blue Heaven! I'm going to have to have a Steve Martin double feature w/Parenthood.

Vicious Trollop

Hey Ashleigh! I have been DYING to see you react to "Coneheads" and to the OG Planets of the Apes movies. I am an old lady and hope you get to them before I am senile, lol. Also, you will LOVE "Blast from the Past" with Brendon Fraiser.

Verlena Smith

"Grosse Point Blank" for Dan aykroyd. Hilarious.

Evening Star

Great selection of movies hopes to see the losers up there again sometime, think Ashleigh would LOVE!!! all these movies.

Snacky Munchies

It's been suggested many times, and she has two copies in her collection.

Elliot Nesterman

I think you'd like Richard Dreyfus in Moon over Parador

Marc Bloom

A lot of dads on Ashleigh's future husband list 🤔 lol And then Keanu.

Matt KC

There are some super good choices here. I was leaning towards Coneheads...then the Matrix, but dammit - Parenthood won. It is SUCH a great film, on a bunch of different levels. And no spoilers but the rest of the cast may surprise you!

kirstone mmm

OMG HOUSESITTER!!! You will have so much fun!

Nessa Arandur

PARENTHOOD YESSSS

Asheenah

Just to add, I think all these choices are great. One day I will get my See No Evil, Hear No Evil with Gene Wilder and Richard Prior.. oh, and I'm still seeing no typos, nope! None is sight!

Susan AKA Maisy13(YT) AKA Susan_is_still_in_progress (threads,IG)

Wow, I made my choice, knowing full well Matrix was on the list, and figuring it would win, but I've wanted Parenthood forever! Surprise to surprise, my choice is actually winning.... for now.

Susan AKA Maisy13(YT) AKA Susan_is_still_in_progress (threads,IG)

You need a little Hugh Jackman in your life/poll. Well, at least you WILL HAVE a "lil" Hugh Jackman once you watch Deadpool and Wolverine. You'll get this joke later. 😏

YodatheHobbit

Coneheads sounds so fun right now, but Parenthood is good too for a variety of reasons. Only just saw that for the first time last year!

YodatheHobbit

Don’t spoil it for her

Player0ne82

I was about to suggest "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" or "All of Me."

Cindy Byrne

FUTUTE

Goatllama

Man NOBODY knows that movie - I love it so much

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

That movie scene basically ended up inspiring my career.

Kenton Kruger

Parenthood had Steve and Keanu!

David Milburn

If Ashleigh wants a double dose of her Ex-Husbands, she should check out The Frisco Kid starring both Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford

James

She had already filmed it along with a few others, she just hasn’t uploaded it yet for one reason or another.

Meredith Shivers

Never would expected so many people to know parenthood. Great film

Lapinporokoira

I don't recall her being in Coneheads.

Stephanie Chapman

Coneheads could also be used to celebrate the life of the recently passed Teri Garr. She was Inga is Young Frankenstein.

James B McGill

I have been requesting My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin and Rick Moranis for months now. This would have been the perfect place for it.

Scott Macalino

I DO NOT.?

DANNY ZUKO78

Unless it is hidden, I am not seeing a reaction video on YT.

Ben Barlow

Out of all these, Dreyfus is the catch. Great guy.

THE Fans

Parenthood, hands down. Really good movie.

Cheryl Corson

Parenthood would be a two-fer since it has Steve Martin and another future ex-husband in it (but I won't spoil it!)

acidnova

She’s already seen it.

Meredith Shivers

She has done Stripes already

Tony Rossell

I hope she writes that one down for future reference.

Robert Reichle

Parenthood needs much more love in this world. Only watch it if you want to laugh your ass off but not in a ridiculous movie, but in an actual heartfelt comedy film.

Robert Reichle

I think Mr. Hollands Opus should be there.

Ben Barlow

Coneheads would introduce her to Farley and Spade

Mr Marvelous

I hope Parenthood wins because Ashleigh will love every minute of it.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

AMEN!

Michael Parker

AMEN!! ...and true 'retro' films as well. As in made BEFORE the year 2000!

Michael Parker

I'm so sad how low House Sitter is sitting in the poll but I firmly believe it's because too few have actually seen this underrated classic. For what it's worth, you would LOVE it. I hope it ends up on the channel sooner or later. When I watched your first Steve Martin reaction, my very first thought was, "Oh, has she done House Sitter???"

Jessica S.

Would love to see Kingpin sometime but Parenthood is the choice here.

David Zabel

I voted Coneheads. I'm not even sure if I've ever seen Parenthood. If I did, then it was so long ago that I've forgotten it.

Joe Blankenship

I don't think she's watched ANYthing with Chris Farley yet. It's a shame. Just like the only Jim Carrey she's seen is the Grinch.

Joe Blankenship

"Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" should absolutely be on this list. Steve Martin and Michael Caine in a brilliantly funny, crime comedy.

Elliot Nesterman

Not really a bad choice in this.

Tim Van Holder

you would LOVE Coneheads! It's a hilarious classic born from an SNL sketch. simply brilliant! plus: Chris Farley is always a win!

Nikki Sonrisa

Parenthood 100%

Rudy Hernandez

And Rick Moranis, whom she also loves.

F.O.T. Snax (Michelle)

Steve Martin and a huge cast of classic Hollywood stars in DEAD MEN DON’T WEAR PLAID (1982) should be on this list. Not only is it a very funny movie but a genuine love letter to classic black & white Hollywood films, particularly film noir crime dramas.

Joe “Retroclassic” Pinney

The originals are even better — FATHER OF THE BRIDE (1950) and FATHER’S LITTLE DIVIDEND (1951), starring the legendary Spencer Tracy (who was also the star of A GUY NAMED JOE (1943), which Steven Spielberg later remade as ALWAYS (1989), starring Richard Dreyfuss).

Joe “Retroclassic” Pinney

although Bill Murray is great as McCracken in King Pin he has limited screen time and is not the lead. The Man Who Knew Too Little IA a good choice. Parenthood has a great ensemble cast, better Steve Martin films L.A. Story or My Blue Heaven.

Steven Clem

You will LOVE Parenthood. Also many of the others, but you have multiple loves in that film.

F.O.T. Snax (Michelle)

She has seen Mr. Hollands Opus and Working Girl. She just needs to release them or they need the win a poll.

Lynette Cummins

Most people can't. 💋

Lynette Cummins

Lol and omg…his part is so short in there and I don’t think she’d like any other part of the film. I own it only because I’m obsessed with the Bee Gees. But it’s pretty bad.

Susan Holly

Coneheads and King Pin-- soooo funny. If they don't make it through this poll, keep putting them on others! Coneheads has the BEST cast.

Caroline Cocozza

🤣🤣🤣

Hueddo

It just doesn't matter.

Curtis Martin

May I go to the bathroom?

Curtis Martin

Yeah! I am still unclear on proper Vacuuming technique..... 😋

Curtis Martin

Parenthood is a wonderful movie. Been hoping for it for a long time. Now, where is Cowboy Gil when you need him?

Curtis Martin

STRIPES!!!!!!!

David Harrison

I would suggest My Stepmother is an Alien with Dan Aykroyd. He’s very sexy in that movie!

Meredith Shivers

I would mind seeing her reaction to Matrix Reload.

Jim Altman

I was watching an interview with the director and he said Murray just told Randy Quaid he’d do the movie, nothing signed just said he’d show up on the day. He shows up, reads a few pages of the script and says “ok I get it” and throws it away and adlibs the entire thing based on the feel of the script. Not sure if that’s exaggerated but definitely made it sound like Bill Murray just winged the entire thing.

Travis

Another ex husband you need to check out Mark Harmon in Summer School. (1987) . Also co-stars a young Kristie Allie

Keith B

I have so much childhood nostalgia for parenthood. I watched too young, so it was TOO emotionally for me. Now I just see how funny it is. Such a great film. That said, I have to see Ashleighs' reaction to King Pin....

Jassell B

It has to be Parenthood. Multiple future ex-husbands in that one

Aaron Weaver

Img house sitter is hilarious with Goldie hawn too

Vicky phillips

I love Man with two brains and all of me, Steve Martin is so good.

Marstux

Right? Franchises are gonna dry up eventually. I miss the random movies.

Joe Blankenship

King Pin is a seriously underrated comedy, and one of Bill Murray's best performance.

Joshua Zakary

What about Working Girl??

Rhiannon

SO GOOD!!!

Rhiannon

Geez Louise , Meatballs just can’t catch a break. Such a great summer movie. But, It just doesn’t matter!

Richard Sheets

Parenthood literally has THREE of Ashleigh's future ex-husbands :D

Michael Tocci

May I also recommend a young Steve Martin singing and dancing in the 1978 musical Sgt Peppers’s Lonely Hearts Club Band starring The Bee Gees and Peter Frampton.

Allison Grinnell

Thanks, Jeff. 🪻 I guess that happens more often that we'd like for it to. I've become an expert at separating the art from the artist. In movies particularly, I try to focus on the fact that hundreds of people worked on the project... most of them with the very best intentions and should never be penalized for the actions of a few.

AuntVes

Oh I forgot about that! He was still in his Bill and Ted stoner stock character era then. He's quite funny as the deadbeat boyfriend in that movie

Colin Neagle

Yeah, Dreyfuss is definitely a "separate the art from the artist" dude because, by all accounts, he's a colossal piece of shit and one of the biggest assholes in Hollywood.

Jeff K

Yes indeed!

Tara M. Wilcoxon

First of all, the title of this poll is awesome. ❤️ I went with Parenthood for the double hit of Steve Martin and young Keanu. ❤️‍🔥

Lynette Cummins

Woody Harrelson is also in Kingpin.

mysteryfan3000

Parenthood has bonus Keanu

Harry Fisher

Oh. Well. I'm pretty new here so I didn't know that. I just know when I mention that movie to people they've never heard of it. Might be because of my age. lol I just know it reminds me of childhood....and summers with friends and it makes me feel good. So, yeah, she just needs to bite the bullet then and watch it. lol

Ellie's Edits

ALWAYS - with Richard Dreyfuss and John Goodman

RyanG

I love Parenthood

Amy Lazorick

I know. But that's how it goes sometimes.

Stevilicious

Agreed!

Michael Parker

I know house sitter won't win, but it is SO GOOD

calendar

...with these voters, good luck 😞

Michael Parker

Anybody remember Tin Men, with Dreyfuss and DeVito? Great movie!

Stezio Decardi

Why isn't ALL OF THEM an option? Lol

Michael Parker

And a baby Joaquin Phoenix

Maria Yarber

And Lily Tomlin!

Maria Yarber

Keanu Reeves is Also in Parenthood. So, double future ex-husband!

Rebecca Howe

I've been recommending THE GOODBYE GIRL (1977) for ages. Even though Mr. Dreyfuss is on my shit-list for sexist, transphobic comments he made last year, the movie is so up your alley. It's written by the great Neil Simon, directed by Herbert Ross and stars the phenomenal Marsha Mason, who I don't think you've seen perform yet! You're also going to thoroughly identify with the little actor who plays 'Lucy', Quinn Cummings. That's if you ever watch it. It's just niche enough to keep losing in polls. But I'm happily voting for it.

AuntVes

You will love Parenthood

Jen J Walker

Fyu-toot ex-hubby?

JHB

THE WORLD'S GREATEST LOVER!!! Gene Wilder!!! C'mon!!!

Stevilicious

I think King Pin might take Bill off that list of yours.

JohnB

Honestly Father of The Bride 1 & 2 should be on this list for Steve Martin. Both are great movies!

Sean Fleming

few-toot, obviously

Skip

I can’t say no to Keanu

Brynn

In parenthood you get Steve Martin, Keanu, Reeves and Rick Moranis and I’m pretty sure you love all three of them

Beboz28

Can I add "Bringing Down the House" with Steve Martin? I think you'll like the whole cast, but won't spoil it for you

Rose Z

"Nothing to lose" Tim Robbins, Martin Lawrence combo

Anthony Cortez

I just know Ashley would love "Stakeout" from 1988. Comedy, action, romance all in one with Richard Dreyfus in the lead and Aidan Quinn from Practical Magic as the villan.l.

Wendy Smith

Parenthood gives you Steve and Keanu sooooo

Desi Jeffers

I don't know about people never hearing about it, that seems like a stretch. That said, at some point she's just going to have to make the executive decision to just watch it; she's been putting in on polls since she started her Patreon and it's never come close to winning. Obviously she really wants to see it.

Kenton Kruger

Would someone be on board of seeing Ash Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or am I the only one who loves that film?

Hueddo

I'm just a big nerd...Matrix Reloaded

Blu

“Nothing But Trouble” 1991 is Dan Aykroyd triple threat. Written, Directed, and staring Dan Aykroyd. With John Candy and Chevy Chase.

Jason Espinoza

I would suggest All of Me (Steve Martin)

Sophia Waitword

according to her Little Shop of Horrors reaction, YES!

Skip

We have been begging for Parenthood FOREVER. Plus it has no fewer than three future ex husbands in the same movie!!

Skip

Ugh. Most people aren't gonna vote for Meatballs because they've never heard of it but it's literally my childhood. My aunt had it on VHS tape and I had such a crush on Christopher Makepeace. He would be MY future ex husband. lol

Ellie's Edits

I’ve been waiting for Parenthood to make another appearance on the polls! Steve Martin is great in it and it also has Rick Moranis!

EJN

Parenthood is one of my favorites! That one stars both Steve AND Keanu!

Tara M. Wilcoxon

Unless she's holding it back .. don't think so. And it's such a good movie...

Cosmic Slice

Meatballs is very sweet and funny.

Richard Meyer

parenthood is sooo good. really hoping it wins

Ashley Thomas

Has she not seen it yet? That's something to look forward to.

Joshua White

Parenthood is a two-fer, soooo 🤷‍♀️

FandomReferenceHere

Kingpin will likely cause you to bust a gut.

Michael Grooms

Crazy that Parenthood is getting all this love, but it deserves it. Was Rick Moranis on the future husbands list?

Joshua White

So we’ve just given up completely on Lost In Translation ?

Christine

Coneheads is such goofy fun w heart. "Sometimes I feel I've got to run away, I've got to get away..." :)

Genette Irlbeck

The problem is that you would likely of these choices, especially a young Richard Dreyfuss (played the shark expert in Jaws)

Jed Logan

Parenthood please!!!

Rebecca Karsner

The Goodbye Girl never gets any love,so I picked it. Richard Dreyfus was 29 when he won the Oscar for Best Actor. He,at the time, was the youngest winner of the award.

Richard Stegman Jr.

Has to be Parenthood, because there's two!! future husbands in that film 😜

James

Oh yeah, that's right, I spaced on the fact that Keanu is in that one as well... two future ex-husbands for the price of one in that film, Ash!

Jeff K

Parenthood because Keanu, Rick Moranis Joaquin Phoenix are also in it!!

Christy

Parenthood is such a good movie.

PapaXan

How is Mr. Holland's Opus with Richard Dreyfuss not on the poll??

Cosmic Slice

Is it pronounced "foo-toot" or "foo-tu-tay"?

Padraic

Meatballs is an integral part of my childhood, but gotta go with Parenthood. It’s such a great film.

Jeff K
