Michelle Trachentberg Poll
Added 2025-03-03 17:27:44 +0000 UTCY'all.... don't spoil ANYTHING BUFFY related okay - I've been pulling matrix moves trying to avoid spoilers
What movie should I watch for Michelle?
Comments
Harriet the Spy is Michelle, heart and soul, Eurotrip isn't really representative of her talent, as fun as the movie is, the wrong movie is winning this poll

2025-03-05 22:08:29 +0000 UTCMake the call @Ashleigh Burton Harriet the Spy is Michelle from start to end all others are side pieces

2025-03-05 18:24:30 +0000 UTCHarriet The Spy is the most Michelle movie of the bunch. She’s just a side character in Euro Trip. People are voting based on what movie they like the most, not which one best shows off Michelle. Go with Harriet The Spy.

2025-03-05 15:16:11 +0000 UTCHaven't seen EuroTrip yet. I personally would say Harriet the Spy though.

2025-03-05 01:56:39 +0000 UTCWhile I enjoy Eurotrip it's sad that it's winning this poll to honor her
Cody Cameron
2025-03-04 22:45:44 +0000 UTCVoted for Harriet the Spy but EuroTrip is also a fantastic option so I'm pleased with that one too.
David Hunter
2025-03-04 22:28:21 +0000 UTCCan't wait for Ashleigh to get Scotty Doesn't Know stuck in her head like the rest of us
Joseph Ricks
2025-03-04 12:11:40 +0000 UTCAnd I hope she watches the unrated version!
Jacob Colson
2025-03-04 05:43:21 +0000 UTCBuffy is what I’ll always know and love her from. I was going to vote for Eurotrip since it’s the only one I’ve seen and have decent memories of, however this post swayed me. 🫡

2025-03-04 05:03:23 +0000 UTCAsheligh hasn't seen Matilda either yet..she needs to though!
Anthony
2025-03-04 01:48:23 +0000 UTCPeople for some reason love their raunchy, low brow, teens/or college students are idiots films, I don’t understand it. I think it goes back to Animal House. Since this is Ashleigh’s kind of humor why doesn’t she just watch Freddy Got Fingered?
James Moyner
2025-03-04 00:37:32 +0000 UTCHarriet the Spy is a classic just like Matilda.
Alison
2025-03-03 22:36:38 +0000 UTCI joined Ashleigh's Patreon just for the chance to vote on Eurotrip because its one of my favorite movies and seems like a movie Ashleigh would love.

2025-03-03 22:09:31 +0000 UTCIt was a forgettable movie. LOL.. sorry Michelle! And Matthew Broderick..

2025-03-03 21:30:45 +0000 UTCRest in peace, lovely Michelle. And, yeah, as someone still on the early "Buffy" timeline, you gotta avoid pretty much everything being written about her right now...!
Chris Carman
2025-03-03 21:29:20 +0000 UTCHarriet the Spy holds such a special place in my heart. I still on it on VHS to this day.
Jordan Wyant
2025-03-03 21:13:21 +0000 UTCSo don't mention eggs either because they spoil and are political at the moment. Don't share what happened to Humpty Dumpty!
David Hayes
2025-03-03 20:44:07 +0000 UTCI didn't realize that she was in Inspector Gadget!
David Hayes
2025-03-03 20:32:59 +0000 UTCYes. This is a guilty pleasure movie for me.
Kenn E Wayne
2025-03-03 19:23:07 +0000 UTCI would have loved to see 17 Again in this list.

2025-03-03 19:19:00 +0000 UTCMy 90's baby says Harriet the Spy
Blu
2025-03-03 19:17:59 +0000 UTCI agree with those commenters saying “You’re already tributing by watching Buffy!” BUT: Here’s a few others of her films that didn’t make the poll: - Forever Together (aka Can’t Be Heaven) - A Father’s Choice
Crystal Wood
2025-03-03 19:16:18 +0000 UTCI imagine if you're not in the 35-45 age range, then Harriet the Spy doesn't mean much to you. Or Nona F. Mecklenburg.
Joe Blankenship
2025-03-03 19:03:36 +0000 UTCIf HTS does not win, riot
Jordan Lloyd
2025-03-03 18:48:33 +0000 UTCI done suggest Cheech and Chong's next movie for that. Look at the cast there's two cameos Ashleigh will love
Mr Marvelous
2025-03-03 18:41:07 +0000 UTCCan we get a poll going for 4/20? I would like to recommend Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005)
Leeland
2025-03-03 18:35:42 +0000 UTCI've never heard of this actress or her movies. I'm gonna sit this one out.
Lynette Cummins
2025-03-03 18:24:43 +0000 UTCYeah, it's been a long time since I've seen it. Not so long since Eurotrip.
Joe Blankenship
2025-03-03 18:15:16 +0000 UTCIce Princess is a great movie (good soundtrack from what I remember), great actors, good lessons. It's my pick but you can't go wrong with any of these. I do feel like she plays less of a main role in Eurotrip as she does in some of the other films but she makes that movie pretty great.
RationallySassy
2025-03-03 18:11:23 +0000 UTCCUTTING EDGE! CUTTING EDGE! CUTTING EDGE!! (...and Ice Castles 1978)
Michael Parker
2025-03-03 18:07:07 +0000 UTCWell, so, yeah...
Michael Parker
2025-03-03 18:05:43 +0000 UTCIt has to be Eurotrip. It’s a movie that we’re going to have her watch eventually anyways. It’s just a perfect movie for Ashleigh.
Jim Altman
2025-03-03 18:03:35 +0000 UTCCome on guys. Eurotrip is just an ok film. Harriet the Spy was her first film, her breakout into the movies, and she was fantastic in it!! Plus, it was a great film. Also the first Nickelodeon film. With Rosie O’Donnell (who was also wonderful in it), and the hilarious legend Eartha Kitt. It’s hands-down, the most nostalgic film on the list for a lot of us, not to mention the best one on there. And, along with Nona (from Adventures of Pete and Pete) and Dawn (from Buffy) it’s Trachtenberg’s best and most iconic role. One that we 90’s kids related to and absolutely adored. Which is why her death was so incredibly devastating. I’m still gutted because she felt like a friend we all related to back in the 90s. She was wonderful.
Eric Fremen
2025-03-03 17:55:43 +0000 UTCDon't spoil Buffy cuz Ashleigh doesn't know.
Joe Blankenship
2025-03-03 17:53:30 +0000 UTCHarriet the Spy not winning is an actual joke. I think I'll just remember Michelle my own way, Eurotrip is simply not for me.

2025-03-03 17:53:04 +0000 UTCSorry... Me no know Michelle Well... You will give a Great Reaction for Any Film(s) You choose...

2025-03-03 17:47:46 +0000 UTCEurotrip definitely is a fit for this channel

2025-03-03 17:47:28 +0000 UTCI agree - I wish it were ahead, but them's the breaks
Charity Konusser (the chonus)
2025-03-03 17:47:21 +0000 UTCI feel your already tributing Michelle Trachtenberg by watching Buffy. I have been waiting on Bob Ueker tribute by watching Major League. I voted Eurotrip but I really want Major League for Bob Ueker.
Mr Marvelous
2025-03-03 17:41:39 +0000 UTCI love Ice Princess but I know it does not have a chance. Might I suggest a Winter Olympics month next year? Cool Runnings, Miracle, Eddie The Eagle, Ice Princess, The Cutting Edge, lots of options to fill a month...
Cristina Collins-Armstrong
2025-03-03 17:41:38 +0000 UTCNot talking about the plot I’m talking about the acting in the editing But while talking about the plot the movie does get serious (with the somewhat spoilery notes you mentioned) then just abruptly ends with no earned resolution. Michelle is fantastic in it, but I think as a kids movie or even as just a movie it’s not as great as I remember it being.
Nick Velasquez
2025-03-03 17:41:03 +0000 UTCNever seen EuroTrip but I hear it’s raunchy, stupid humor so it may be right up her alley lol.
EJN
2025-03-03 17:39:38 +0000 UTCYou HAVE to do Harriet the Spy for Michelle. That was her BIG movie!
Nicole
2025-03-03 17:38:45 +0000 UTCI beg to differ, the movie took a VERY serious turn when her nanny leaves and she has to face the reality of her peers turning against her. It deals with childhood trauma and mental health. It would be a great watch for Ashleigh. 💯

2025-03-03 17:37:03 +0000 UTCBest to have a moderator read comments ahead of time to prevent people from spoiling Buffy. Sad but people don't always realize what they are commenting about.
Adam Doyle
2025-03-03 17:34:25 +0000 UTCI haven’t actually seen any of her movies, so I can’t speak on that. Maybe if you pick one I’ll do it with your watch-along. I’ll always be a fan of her work on Buffy. She was far too young to be gone from this world.
Darrin Hicks
2025-03-03 17:32:40 +0000 UTCI grew up with inspector gadget so I voted for that. 💖
Jonathan Wiking
2025-03-03 17:32:09 +0000 UTCIf I hadn’t just rewatched Harriet the spy I would have picked that…but it doesn’t really hold up as a movie seeing it as an adult. Cheese upon cheese even for a kids movie
Nick Velasquez
2025-03-03 17:31:24 +0000 UTCI voted for Harriet the Spy because I haven’t seen anyone do a reaction to that movie at all, but would love to see her have a fun time with Eurotrip as well.
D Anthony
2025-03-03 17:30:32 +0000 UTCShhhh....
Adam Doyle
2025-03-03 17:30:29 +0000 UTCand to get to her sooner snd help avoid spoilers, there should be no delays between watchings of seasons.

2025-03-03 17:30:21 +0000 UTCYou'll love EuroTrip!

2025-03-03 17:29:39 +0000 UTCFingers crossed for EuroTrip it's hilarious.
Collinson
2025-03-03 17:29:16 +0000 UTCListen you gotta see the movie that made her become such an icon, and that was Harriet The Spy, it launched her as a child star. Now if we wanna get into her young adulthood then Eurotrip for the memes. But she was brilliant May God rest her soul. 🕊️
