So sad to hear about Gene Hackman passing away. He has so many amazing movie roles to pay tribute to him. The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favorites, along with Superman 2, The French Connection, The Firm, Crimson Tide, and Get Shorty. I love him in The Birdcage as well, but Ashleigh has already reacted to it.

The Craig movies I think she would like them all as they tell a pretty good arc even across the lesser entries of the era (SPECTRE, QoS) but Casino Royale and Skyfall are fantastic

To all Marvel fans: imagine Marvel being sold to Sony, or Netflix. To all Star Wars fans: remember how the joy of Disney buying it turned more sour with the release of every movie? I know that a 1000 people will have 1000 different opinions and 1000 different wishes.... but.... this is a nice community and I would really like the gesture if the Bond fans could get some minor ehr....quantum of solace if we could have a Bond Franchise Friday soon to easen the pain of saying goodbye of something we held so dear for over 60 years.

2025-02-21 15:52:28 +0000 UTCas far as MCU proper, she only has Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, & Deadpool & Wolverine & i would assume she would watch the new Captain America as soon as it hits streaming. as far as TV shows go, that's a lot more extensive... realistically, though, she only really needs to watch the Guardians holiday special, Ms. Marvel, & possibly (not really sure but better safe than sorry) Loki season 2 in order to prepare for each of the last 3 movies respectively. all the other TV shows, i don't believe she really has to watch them right away but hopefully she gets to them eventually.

That way, Ashleigh gets through them, we get to watch along (those who want to), and maybe people will stop complaining. I mean, I assume that Ashleigh puts franchises on polls because *she* wants to watch them. Maybe if she has time in the future, she can edit and make bonus uploads for her non-Patreon watchers, but for now? It might make a whole lot of people happy.

Plus, she hasn't watched Hawkeye, and Falcon & Winter Soldier which she should definitely at least watch F&WS before the newest Captain America (I know it's a WAYS off). PLUS.. she needs to watch the second season of Loki!! Secret Invasion was dumb. Moon Knight was good, but no connection to anything else yet. And of course, Agatha All Along was phenomenal.

My husband and I are Marvel fans, but we refuse to see either. I do think she should see Deadpool & Wolverine. I think she'll appreciate that one.

Some things with the code definitely needed to be changed, but they got it right with no gross out and rude, crude humor; no senseless over-the-top violence, and no pointless swearing that did nothing for the plot!

Unfortunately what was supposed to be a channel that introduced people to classic movies has been taken over by the kids who wouldn't understand that movies can also be a good commentary about the time that they're made. Unlike the spandex fascination that seems to have taken hold here.

I hadn't watched seen the original episode before watching the movie when I was a kid and I still enjoyed it. But personally I would love to see Ashleigh watching the original series. I guess that would make it the 2 Guardians, The Marvels, and Deadpool 3. Not sure how essential Ms. Marvel is to the movie as I didn't watch either. That would catch her up to everything available on streaming as far as the central movies, which could be done as each is released. That would solve the "Oh god, no more Marvel!" crowd. Maybe throw the odd other one, like Spiderverse, onto the occasional poll.

Matt Murdock in Spider-man: No Way Home? In She-Hulk? In his own upcoming series on Disney+? And it's pretty clear that Agents of Shield doesn't connect to the overall MCU. There are thousands of articles talking about this fact.

Second of all, Agents of SHIELD existed first. That deserves just as much hype as Daredevil alone if not more. Third, we have quicker Marvel content that we’ve been waiting on. Don’t forget we have Guardians Volume 3, Loki season 2, and Deadpool & Wolverine to look forward to exclusively in that order.

Doesn't need to be this month, but I hope we can get at least one month of Bond movies before the summer ends (I know it's only Feb, but time flies, and Bond will always have stiff competition from franchises as Marvel, Jurassic P, Ghostbusters and so many more peoples favorites...)

They reflect the shit we do and believe. By using Apes they call out our prejudices without using specific races. I think they are great movies!

The recent remakes are a bit more watchable, but there are so many better movies to spend your time on. The Bond's are very hit and miss, but most of the Daniel Craig ones are worth a watch. My vote is for Ghostbusters as the pick I think Ashleigh would find most entertaining.
