2025-02-17 20:56:35 +0000 UTCI approached it ready to dislike it because I grew up on the Steve McQueen/Faye Dunaway "Thomas Crowne Affair". It's one of the few movies where I unreservedly like watching McQueen (he isn't a favorite of mine); and the song "Windmills of Your Mind" is, of course, a classic all by itself. Fortunately, I've had a major crush on Brosnan since "Remington Steele"; and this movie is, in fact, for me, a very nice alternative to the first one!
