One Piece
Added 2025-07-02 02:28:09 +0000 UTCSo, I've been skimming through the manga as a refresher because I've mentioned wanting to start watching the anime on here with y'all. I thought I had read up to the time skip, but it's been so long that even stuff before then is kind of fuzzy to me.
Question is: would it be worth starting the anime around the Summit War saga if it's not a 100% blind reaction, just so I can really remember what's going on? Or should I just say screw it and start post-time skip and just be murky on the details?
More importantly, what would YOU all prefer to see? (I ain't starting from the beginning though, I at least remember those early arcs up to Enies Lobby VERY vividly)

If you remember up until Enies Lobby then maybe start at Thriller Bark (the arc before the Summit War saga). Also for post-timeskip, do you think you'll do One Pace (the fan-edit that cuts down padding to match the manga)? The anime post-timeskip has pretty awful pacing to most people, there are times where it's fine but then there are other times where the scenes drag on because the episode is adapting one chapter or less. I usually just tell people to read the manga but One Pace is a good alternative in case the original anime starts feeling too slow.
