I still haven't seen parts 3 and 4 so I'm really looking forward to those. If you like these, you should check out some of Jason Statham's movies. The Transporter is really good. And the Crank movies are pretty great--part 2 is straight up bananas!

Mostly from his wife's death, since that was my personal nightmare experience. Also that, yeah, the revenge would please you. (I wonder why so many reactors fail to keep a box of tissues in their recording space as part of their standard setup. How many times have I heard, "No one told me I would cry," or "No one told me I would need tissues." Just assume that you might need them.) By the Rules Of Moviemaking to Maximize Box Office, they had to make John Wick a sympathetic character, a 'good bad-guy' in other words. To set up the revenge arc they needed more (for the audience) than thugs beating him up and stealing his car. No, without the puppy killing the audience sympathy for John would have been weak at best. Dozens of people killed! Property stolen and destroyed! Yawn. No biggie. Killing a cute animal! Rage without limit!!! Winton is the manager, not the owner, of the Continental Hotel. But other than that this movie kicks ass. Love the music in the Red Circle club. And Keanu is so damn hot. He looks so good dressed in all black.
