Shout-out to Mimi for being a real one. One of the first impressions this show made on me was when Subaru broke down while Emilia comforted him in the first few episodes. I have my own theories that this story is about mental health issues when you bottle stuff up for pride, Subaru seems to suffer from pride and he ends up saving the day when he learns how to stop letting pride control him; the idea that he can’t talk about the revive fits the idea of not talking about feelings. I dunno... something about Garf having a tough act while dealing with PTSD and crumbling when Mimi gave him the space for it just feels like the thing that makes Re:Zero such a human experience. Sidenote: Felix kinda marriage material this season ayo 👀

Usually the gospels tell the archbishops stuff they want, ie wrath prob want petelguese, greed wants brides etc etc. so they tend to follow it to fulfill their desires and they were most likely assigned tasks after the bell rings.
