I'm glad you're still making time for this show, I grew up on stuff like Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star so I don't really care if Nokotan is "peak fiction" or "mid weeb trash", it's scratching an itch of meta meme tomfoolery and I'm having a good time. My favorite thing about the entire show is the fact that Koshi is basically just a REGULAR ASS TEENAGER who's just trying to make a good impression in school and decorate her clubhouse and name her plants. This deer bullshit is not giving her a break but she's not one dimensional either. My favorite "straight man character" is probably Gus from Psych (Lassiter also gets a 👍), but I fw Koshi. She's gonna need a HELL of a therapist though
