You might not remember but there were various instances in the past where people who interacted with her would be nervous/afraid when speaking to her. And also it would be a bit weird to not recognise one of sereitei's most notorious criminals.

Mayuri explained that The furry captain is the exception to the broken bankai rule (since his body and Bankai are connected if he just heals then so does his Bankai) Also he explained that ikkaku's Bankai is basically super glued together since it broke the last time he used it fighting that lava arrancar 😭 -Yeah you remember Kirio correctly! -I'm surprised you didn't recognized who that was in Hueco Mundo! I know it's been a while though but his voice is pretty distant imo. -Yeah remember when how all of Squad 11 was scared of Unohana? Now we know why 😭 Also fun fact, her Sspecialty was listed as sword fighting in the data book instead of healing in the data books. Also she has like some of the highest stats! NGL I thought were gonna notice Unohana was in the original gotei when the special credits came on. Also their fight is at the same prison that Aizen is at so he probably saw that fight 😭 -So Kenpachi and Unohana have interacted in filler like once and she was the only person that was able to convince him to not fight Ichigo since she needed him with something. Also like... 370 episodes ago Kenpachi told his lieutenant Yachiru that he named her after the person he admired most in the world! -This set really had like 4 big reveals 😭

Even aizen told his lower subordinates to run away when they saw her in hueco mundo. Her reveal is supposed to be more of a shock factor as we given only subtle hints throughout the story.

2024-07-20 03:48:46 +0000 UTCNow it's time for Musical's Factoid Corner: -You were right about Hiyori and the first mention of Squad 0 -They go more into Unohana and Kenpachi in the next episode. As well as the explanation for the weird jump cut at the end. -Zanjutsu is the way of the sword. -If you look closely at the past episodes with Unohana interacting with the captains, you will see the hints of her being scary. There's alot if shots where the other captains are scared of her. For years I thought it was just a subtle gag, but Kubo was like "Nah. She's actually a beast." -I mentioned the whole Byukaya thing in my comment on the last upload. I feel bad Kubo was harassed into keeping him alive. I would have killed him off in the anime to spite those people, ngl.

2024-07-20 03:47:19 +0000 UTCBtw there was a rumor that kubo got bullied/threats from fans and that's why he bought back Byakuya but that doesn't make sense given how Manga authors (at least back then) submit at least 2 chapters in advance by the time a chapter is released. By the time Byakuya "died" in chapter 513 he would've already have submitted 515 (which is this episode ) so he wouldn't have even seen the backlash for "killing" Byakuya off. This is this same guy that seemingly killed off Halibel and Momo (Twice in Momo's case 😞) but he bought both of them back. Also Kubo himself never bought up anything about being threatened 😭
