Juliet Landau (Drusilla) is ethereal. She killed this role. And I *love* the character. For some reason, I'm drawn to female characters who are ruthless. I suspect it's like that old joke: sex with a psycho girl is incredible, because you don't know if you're going to wake up in the morning. IRL, Landau is the daughter of Barbara Bain and Martin Landau. Martin was an original cast member of "Mission: Impossible" (the original: a TV series, not movies). So Juliet comes by her talent naturally. She's just recorded an audio drama, "VamPD" for Big Finish.

"I didn't understand the song about the fences," she said. Berlin was confused because he hadn't written a song about fences, and asked her about it. "You know, 'Mighty fences are down'," she said. "That doesn't make sense." Berlin smiled: the lyric was actually: "My defenses are down." For decades, I thought the lyric from the Munchkin section in "Wizard of Oz" was: "We represent the Lullaby-yees." No. It's "League". Oh, well...

I'm glad you're enjoying Buffy so much as it's one of my favorite shows. I agree it keeps getting better, and there's a lot more good stuff to come.

2024-11-26 16:40:45 +0000 UTCJohn Ritter who played Ted is very famous for being in the 1970s sitcom Three's Company. He was also in a sitcom called 8 Simple Rules. He has been in a ton of movies too, but what I remember the most was Problem Child 1 &2 and It with Tim Curry. Sadly he died in 2003.
