in memory of Kris Kristofferson!
This movie kills me...even more so now because I know what's coming at the end. Kristofferson was just such a huge talent. But the James Earl Jones movie coming up is going to wreck me so...yay, lol.

May he rest in peace, but I hardly think his passing warrants a tribute movie because it features him saying one sentence. This is not a memorial channel, and does not need a tribute for anyone with an IMDB credit.

Since Tony Todd passed away, may I suggest his most famous movie where he plays the eponymous "Candyman" (1992)π«π¬π

Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore would have been a much better option or at least represents a better movie

You should watch Meet the Fockers (after Meet the Parents). Truly awesome with a stellar cast.

Rita Coolidge and Tony Orlando were superstars in the music industry at this point. They are not supposed to be Sonny and Cher.

Honestly, this is up there with the Lady Gaga version as one of the worst remakes in history, for me. The 1937 original with Janet Gaynor & 1954 remake with Judy Garland both surpass the two latter remakes. Easily.

There was also a 1954 remake staring Judy Garland

The woman presenting the Grammy to Esther, Rita Coolidge, was Kris Kristofferson's wife at the time.

Elwood Edwards; the voice of AOL's "You've Got Mail" recently died. Ashleigh should watch "You've Got Mail" in tribute, at the least she would get to see some more Tom Hanks!

Hey, the guy in the black jacket sitting at the table with Kris listening to Barbara song is a young Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger)!

The original was the 1937 version, with Janet Gaynor and Frederic March.
Then the remake in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason.
Then this remake in 1976.
Followed by the 3rd remake in 2018 with Stefani Germanotta and Bradley Cooper.
Either everyone loves this movie and has to have a "fresh" version, or they all think the movie has potential, but never quite reaches it. I guess Ashleigh's about to find out which it is. RIP Kris.
