redo: HALLOBEANS POLL

sorry - forgot to make previous poll multi-choice!

Comments

I voted Final Destination- but I can't watch that one again, lol. So Thirteen Ghosts it is for 2nd!

Echo

Im very surprised Trick r Treat isn't getting as many votes? That is an epic super fun horror anthology saturated in Halloween vibes.

Norberto Aguiar

You need to click on the name of the movie, not the check box.

WmT(Bill)Blake

Kris Kristofferson recently passed away. I’m really hoping for a reaction to “A Star is Born”. It’s an absolute classic!

Amanda E. Ally

Should be a check mark for each one you select. Are you on phone or computer? Maybe it was down for a moment, seems to be working

Zombie

It's not working? I click on the movies and nothing happens? No check mark or poll perchance, no visual marker showing which one I picked?!?!?

Norberto Aguiar

Murder by Death is great but she has no idea who Ms. Marple is or The Thin Man or Charlie Chan or Hercule Poirot. She might know Sam Spade from the Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep. And she certainly has no idea who Truman Capote was. I think a lot of it would be lost on her.

TheSingulatarian

I hope we get an in-memoriam poll for Maggie Smith. My suggestions are The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Keeping Mum. So sad she is gone, what a wonderful actress!

Echo Moon

I'm so sad Maggie Smith has passed away. Since people are writing with suggestions for a tribute, I thought I would throw out a few. "Gosford Park" is an absolute must! She is absolutely brilliant in it. "Murder By Death" is another great one. She is so glamorous & funny. "Death on the Nile (1978) & "Evil Under the Sun" are 2 Agatha Christie adaptations and she's wonderful in both. All of these are murder mysteries so maybe one would be good for a non-scary Hallowbeans? As for others, the already mentioned "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" is so good, leading to a well-deserved Best Actress Oscar. Her second Oscar came from "California Suite" which is also great. "Ya-Ya Sisterhood," "A Secret Garden," and the "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" are all wonderful suggestions too. One more I would add is "Travels with my Aunt." Just a great role for her. Sorry for the rambling, but I adore Dame Maggie and so many of her films are some of my favorite movies so I hope we pick a fitting tribute to her ❤️

Vicious Trollop

I 2nd, 3rd, & 4th this suggestion! It's is one of my favorites!

Vicious Trollop

Is there no Patreon post today since Scream 3 is already on here?

Joe Blankenship

Harold and Maude is my favorite movie. I think everyone should see it. I just worry that she might find Rosemary's Baby a bit slow. It is a great movie though.

Bruce Devine

I would love to introduce Ashleigh to Ruth Gordon. Harold and Maude is one she DEFINITELY needs to see, but for Hallowbeans I'd really love to get Rosemary's Baby on! I think she'd enjoy seeing a non-gory thriller, plus y'all know she'd be freaking out over the changes from the 60's to now! Anyone else like this?

Stezio Decardi

Kinda surprised Final Destination is winning over Paranormal Activity but that's just me.

Jacob Colson

If you watch 13 ghosts you’ll seeF Murray Abraham again… not that you’ll recognize him, but didn’t know the name on Muppets From Space.

Travis Taylor

Has she watched the first one? I was going to say The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, too! Excellent movie!

Ben and Gininda Samways

Need Final Destination 2 to understand the generational trauama some of us have from a certain scene

OneEyedMcGee

I think Ashleigh will probably feel the same way about Paranormal Activity as she did The Blair Witch Project but, you never know. Also has anyone seen the trailer for the Salem's Lot Remake. It premieres on the 3rd on MAX. I thought it looked pretty good.

Katie Jackson

I chose IT & Final Destination but Thirteen Ghosts is fun too. Hopefully Jeppers Creepers gets another shot. Such a creepy horror movie. I agree on Happy Death Day for a Wednesday watch. Candyman, Fright Night & Pet Semetary are really good. I hope those get a chance. Can't wait for HallowBeans to start!!!🎃🔪🍁🐈

Katie Jackson

I would also settle for “Gosford Park” or “Hot Millions”, but only because I really like both of them.

Chris Crowther

In honor of the passing of Dame Maggie Smith, I request her Oscar-winning performance in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie".

Bruce R Wilson

Ummm, what? She has watched several things from before 1970, granted a lot of those were MMMember picks. 99% of the rest of the content is based on polls. The issue is the older a movie is, the less likely the Patreon members have seen it. Since most people vote for movies they've seen, older movies don't often win polls. It has nothing to do with her "refusing" to watch them.

Kenton Kruger

You can not call yourself a real millennial until you watch Final Destination

Art By Design

Since Ashely refuses to watch anything before 1970 I would go with this. It really should be The Prime of Miss Jean Brody but, she will never watch that.

TheSingulatarian

Nevermind, I think I fixed it.

Sabrina D.

Is there a way for us to change our vote? I clicked on IT not realizing (1) it was the remake and (2) that she has already seen the original with Tim Curry. Dearest Ashleigh, I’d like to change my vote to Trick-r-Treat, pretty please!

Sabrina D.

May I humbly suggest you honor Maggie Smith by watching “Murder By Death” (1976) (not to be disrespectful with the title choice, of course). It’s a film very much akin to “Clue” (1985) which you have already seen, and you just might recognize a few of the actors! #RIP our beloved Dame Maggie Smith! 💖

Sabrina D.

It's still like a retread

Mr Marvelous

Amazingly, Maggie Smith died exactly one year after Michael Gambon did!

Brian Booher

To be honest it's been awhile since I've seen Silver Bullet. I was pretty young so it may not be as good as I remember. But I do know that Interview & Fright Night are worth Ashleigh's time.

Lynette Cummins

As would I.

W. Randy Hoffman

Seconding the first two. I watched Silver Bullet, but it didn't make much of an impression.

W. Randy Hoffman

Underworld would be awesome, but it's more of an action thriller than a horror film.

W. Randy Hoffman

Well, not all tributes were with the actor/actress in the starring role. Her role is an important one in the film, however so its worth being on the tribute poll

Brian Booher

As much I love that movie and would love Ashleigh to watch it at some point, I'm not sure how well it works as a tribue to Maggie Smith. I mean yeah she's in it, but she's certainly not in the lead role.

Anthony

My vote for a Maggie Smith Poll would be Clash Of The Titans

Brian Booher

I’m so sad 😭 Dame Maggie Smith has passed away. You’ve already watched her in Hook, the HP and Sister Act films, but I remember her more when I was growing up for her role in “The Secret Garden” and later in a film I think you’d love and find hilarious called “Divine Secrets of the YA-YA Sisterhood” which her character in that film is my favorite and so funny. 🤣 Ya Ya would remind you of Fried Green Tomatoes and Steel Magnolias with its sister friendships and southern comedy/drama. I will say or warn you that Divine does deal with a few very heavy and sensitive issues or topics so be aware. There’s definitely some triggering scenes. Her role in the Secret Garden is different because it’s set earlier in the late 1800’s early 1900’s, it’s definitely also a lot lighter theme or drama than Divine Secrets but they’re both great roles of hers and deserve a watch at least once at some point. I know neither of my favorites would win any polls if you put them on one but Maggie was such a legend and did so many diverse characters that Divine Secrets is absolutely worth watching at least once. It also has quite the cast as well. I’m not gonna tell you everyone else who’s in it so you can be surprised whenever you watch it. 🙂☺️ RIP 🪦 DAME MAGGIE SMITH and thank you for all the beautiful memories and characters you gave us.

Allie Henegan

Cabin in the Woods pleeeease! Ashley will loooove it!

Tory L Turner

Loved the Final Destination films! 🙌

Zombie

co-sign

Skip

can't believe Maggie Smith has died

Ricky P Kraus

R. I. P. Dame Maggie Smith.

Sophia Waitword

A movie that scared the crap out of me as an adult was Wrong Turn. Anyone else scared by that one? Wasn’t Cabin in the Woods one you said last year that you might get to it this year? It’s a Joss Whedon if that helps. :)

Ben and Gininda Samways

I dunno. Not sure it would be Ashleigh’s vibe? Episodes might be too long for her

Andrea Guay Colpitts

Happy Death Day, Happy Death Day 2U AND Freaky

PieHard13

2006. The best one

PieHard13

I don't think Ashleigh is psychologically ready for The Descent . . . I don't think Ashleigh WILL EVER be psychologically ready for The Descent.

PieHard13

Maggie Smith is excellent in The Second Best Marigold Hotel

Bruce Devine

F that!!!! TIME FOR DOWNTON ABBEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Graham Martin

Maggie Smith 😢

Brian Booher

Very sad Maggie Smith died, R.I.P. Since Downton Abbey isn't likely to win the TV poll lol, my suggestion is Gosford Park, a brilliantly written film that Maggie Smith is excellent in. This could also be a reason to finally watch Sister Act II, as she is Mother Superior.

JC

It's the happiest time of the year! Wish there was more love for Trick R Treat, but one day

Joseph Ricks

It's funny, Final Destination 2 has the second lowest box office take of the franchise, and yet seemingly every person of a certain age (except evidently Ashleigh lol) is aware of and traumatized by that scene lol. I can't find any actual stats for FD2's DVD sales, but I'm guessing it was absolutely huge in the DVD market

JC

A sad day. R.I.P. Dame Maggie Smith. For her tribute I suggest her first Oscar win, "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie."

Elliot Nesterman

Finally, a man of culture. Love Ernest. Would be a great one for Wednesdays.

the_mindful_psychotic

👀

Ashleigh Burton

Yes! Her Conjuring reaction is one of my favorite rewatches! 😂

the_mindful_psychotic

IT is on this list because it's a scary movie and it's scary movie season?

Ashleigh Burton

lots of rain this morning! hope you're safe too!

Ashleigh Burton

She watched the original miniseries from 1990 but not the new ones. Tim Curry freaked her out so she’s going to be traumatized by Bill Skarsgård 😁

the_mindful_psychotic

Thought It 2017 both of em were already seen and done on the channel

Mr Marvelous

I need Ashleigh to be as traumatized by final destination as the rest of us millennials!!! I hope it wins 😂

Andrea Guay Colpitts

I'm assuming from "Thirteen Ghosts" that it's the remake, and not the original "13 Ghosts" (which is honestly more of a comedy at this point).

Chris Crowther

Hey don’t know if you’re still ready our crazy comments but I hope y’all stay safe with these crazy storms coming off of Helene hitting Tennessee! I neighbor you to the north in Kentucky so please stay safe y’all if it’s hitting you!!

Jordan Wyant

See No Evil with WWE wrestler Kane is worth a watch

Brian Booher

Thirteen Ghosts is cool primarily because of the Jackel. Trick r treat is the best choice because of the twists that you just don’t see coming.

Alyssa Cartwright

Yes Jon!!! 👏🏼👏🏼 👏🏼

Gio Vidrio

She has a whole month. She can get to it.

Gio Vidrio

These are some good choices. I really hope Trick or Treat gains some support, I bought it last year, sure that it would be watched, but here we are again. Though I also voted for 13 Ghosts and Paranormal Activity.

Susan AKA Maisy13(YT) AKA Susan_is_still_in_progress (threads,IG)

I would love this.

Susan AKA Maisy13(YT) AKA Susan_is_still_in_progress (threads,IG)

Jeepers Creepers is a FANTASTIC horror movie.

Mikey Russo

I agree Jeepers Creepers should be on the list. If Ash boycotted every film that had a criminal attached to it, she wouldn’t have anything to watch.

Mikey Russo

If you're going to do Silent HIll, play the video game (if you haven't already) don't watch the movie.

Tony Seyffer

Can't go wrong with either 13 ghosts, trick r treat, or It.

Amber Yaist

Nobody likes a pedophile Director.

TheSingulatarian

i voted for it, but i'm not sure why its on the list, Ashleigh is not going to like the hills have eyes.

erin

None of these sound good except Trick Or Treat.

James Moyner

What happened to Jeepers Creepers?

Susan Holly

I voted for Trick R' Treat - one I watch every Halloween season. Pulling for Cabin in the Woods (came in 2nd place two years ago for the final movie of Hallowbeans) and, as always, The Descent.

Cristina Collins-Armstrong

I was trying for Warlock 1989

MacGyver16502

I would like to suggest "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" 1966, as a hollbean themed movie that would be a funny relief movie, for one of your not very scary nights in October. It stars Don Knox, who played Deputy Barney Fife on the Andy Griffin show, and is just a fun movie.

DC Adams

The Pit and the Pendulum starring the legendary Vincent Price

Tom Castro

Ugh so many good choices!! I’m still pulling for Trick r Treat though! Also Final Destination isn’t really a Hallowbeans movie let alone a night vision movie in my opinion. 🤷🏻‍♂️

EJN

I'm hoping to see: Interview with a Vampire Fright Night- 1985 And Silver Bullet- 1985 on a future poll. 🔪🎃🔪🎃

Lynette Cummins

she knows, she hoping everyone just picks 2. the 2000s versions

Bleedingreen

2006

Bleedingreen

It part1&2 is my vote. The original was made for TV. Even so it was great. Tim Curry woohoo! The reboot was just as good but gorier.

Robert Dilley

Looks like we may just be getting a Stephen King Hallobeans Franchise Friday.

Kenn E Wayne

Cujo and The Mist. Those creepy crawlies in the The Mist will give you nightmares.

TheSingulatarian

R u nuts. It was as the French say Le GarbAGe . That's like saying Robocop remake was the best ever.

Steven Arroyo

Bell, Book and Candle. Of the various light-hearted supernatural films I've suggested for Wednesdays, the one that i think you'll most enjoy is "Bell, Book and Candle" (1958). It stars James Stewart and Kim Novak, who earlier that same year co-starred in Hitchcock's "Vertigo," and Jack Lemmon. Not a spoiler: there's also a beautiful Siamese cat, called "Pywacket."

Elliot Nesterman

We should have her watch "The Howling" this year. Or Underworld. Both fantastic watches for Hallobeans.

Stevo 1975

🤣🤣

Katastrophic

What are you talking about? The "It" remake was great. Popcorn in Bed was so scared she had to go get her husband to hold her hand just off camera to get through it

TheSingulatarian

There are two movies for the Hills Have Eyes 1977 & 2006. Which one is on the list?

MJ Katz

She does need to watch Hellraiser II and Friday the Thirteen 3 (Jason finally gets the hockey mask) and Poltergeist II was not a bad sequel.

TheSingulatarian

If she was living in her old, haunted house then yes. I don't think this house is haunted.

TheSingulatarian

Um, I can choose all the choices? Also, there are multiple versions of Thirteen Ghosts and The Hills Have Eyes. Which one are you talking about? Sorry to be such a film nerd.

TheSingulatarian

I’m hoping that you continue with the Conjuring universe

Ricky P Kraus

I had no idea

Charlie Heist

COME ON 13 Ghosts! THE BEST FILM ON THIS POLL BY FAR!!

Michael Parker

It's a remake of a William Castle film from the 1960's which had Margaret Hamilton who was the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.

James Moyner

I'd like Ashleigh to watch Paranormal Activity but worry it might be too much. Not that it is gory or super scary, but it preys upon your existing beliefs.

evil_incarnate

Would love to see the old school Universal Monster movies as well as The Ghost and Mr Chicken

Bruce Devine

She watched the first but none of the rest

Bruce Devine

Voted for The Hills Have Eyes & Paranormal Activity. I'm such a chicken, I haven't seen any of these, so this is a blind vote. 👻

Lynette Cummins

And I wanna say Trick r Treat is more of a Wednesday watch. I doubt it will win this poll but I hope it gets a watch. One of my favorites to watch come Halloween time.

Jacob Colson

No LOST HIGHWAY? Or THE BROOD?

Craig Lindsey

Thanks, should have searched, too many movies!

Weird

I love 13 ghosts! Such a fun/different idea.

Charlie Heist

yes

Bleedingreen

Has she watched Hellraiser? Cenobites awesome!

Weird

Final Destination movie series is fun.

Marstux

My apologies won't happen again

Steven Arroyo

please be respectful of Ashleighs polls, she does get upset seeing posts like this

Bleedingreen

Dun trip i got u. Tim Curry is the one n only Pennywise the Dancing Clown

Steven Arroyo

13 👻 Ghosts is great!

Weird

She said in the stream that HDD is going to be on one of the polls.

Tyler Foster

I wasn't gonna say it, but....

Cass&Jason

Gunna keep plugging [Rec]. Can it win a poll? dunno, but certain it will make Ashleigh p**s the bed

Michael Tocci

Tim Curry is the ONLY Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

Steven Arroyo

For a lights on cute fun Wednesday movie could I suggest Lisa Frankenstein? It’s a new release but it’s one of my favorites in the last few years.

Jordan Wyant

Forget IT 2017 trash all trash.

Steven Arroyo

Silent Hill is probably not going to make it but I think it was a fun watch!

mysteryfan3000

IT is my first choice, but Paranormal Activity would be a great watch!

Brad Hicks

Trick r Treat won't win, but it is an absolute hoot of a Halloween romp. I'd love to see what Ashleigh thought of it.

Snow Goon

Yooooo, I have never clicked a vote so fast in my life lol 🥰Thirteen Ghosts🥰 Then I added 🥰IT🥰 Trick r Trea Final Destination Paranormal Activity

b nope

100% this!

Garrie Morris

Before you watch It, please refresh your memory with the original before the remake. I want to see which Pennywise you prefer.

Cass&Jason

Yes!!!

Vicky phillips

One for Wednesday is an older movie “The Bad Seed”.

Tina Thomure

Trick R Treat is a great film that has become a well respected and loved horror favorite over the last 15-plus years. It was supposed to have a sequel immediately after it was released but it never happened. Since then, the film just stands perfect on its own with a huge following.

Phillip Smith

As long as IT makes it, I really don't mind what is second, so I chose Thirteen Ghosts as my second.

Andy H.

For the next “lights on” poll, Happy Death Day would be a lot of fun.

Alex Ch

Final Destination I think is my first choice because I want you to get to the iconic opening scene of the sequel 😬😬😬 also will we be seeing the conjuring 2 reaction this year 👀👀 it was my favorite Hallobeans video last year

Jordan Wyant

Thirteen Ghosts is wild! May I suggest “Freaky” for a Wednesday!?!

Jaren

If anyone didn’t see previous iteration, the it reaction will be to both films (parts) in one reaction.

Alex Ch

I can’t wait

Haley JoAnna

Idk why say always changes to saw 😤

Jordan Wyant

Ernest Scared Stupid 1991

Brian Wood

House of 1000 Corpses!

Cass&Jason

Pleeeease Final Destination!

JC

It & Trick R Treat for the W! 🎃

Gio Vidrio

Again I saw all of these are so so fun!! Any of them is a winner!

Jordan Wyant
