FIRST HALLOBEANS POLL!

It's my faaaavorite time of the year and it just happens to kick off with a Wednesday.

I've gotten this question a lot so: Yes, Wednesdays this year have been for TV shows but in October I like to sprinkle in non-scary movies, because horror is not everyone's favorite thing. So NO TV SHOW this month but we will be back with something (idk yet) in November.

There are 2 movies that I HAVE to upload on certain days because I filmed them at The Stanley Hotel 👻 - yes, THAT Stanley hotel.. - and it teases to some really fun and crazy videos on the second channel that you don't wanna miss. I'll let them be surprises for you; but I think you'll like them.

EVERY VIDEO has a different secret phrase for the giveaway on YouTube. be on the look out! :)

REMINDER: The code EARLY10 save you 10% off in the merch store until October 1!

Comments

Exactly. Love that song!

Confuzzled Shannon

My October is not complete without The Worst Witch. I have to watch Tim Curry's song at least 3 times each viewing...with my tambourine of course.

Vicious Trollop

LOVE that movie!

Vicious Trollop

Coraline and Corpse Bride are are legit in my top 5 fav movies, and in my top 3 of stop motion films!

Sabrina D.

I'm so mad mad lol She would love Haunted Honeymoon!!!

Missy Schmader

If she *has* to do political stuff - I watch Ashleigh to escape it all but YMMV - I would love to see her react to My Fellow Americans (1996), Wag the Dog (1998), or Primary Colors (1998) She loves the actors in all of those.

TaleenaS

Coraline is really creepy but also really beautiful, more so than if Tim Burton had made it.

Paul Stelter

Completely off topic, but looking ahead, have you thought about watching The West Wing for your November TV show? It's the 25th anniversary of this truly great show. And it is an election year.

WmT(Bill)Blake

I’m probably really dating myself but when I was a kid I saw a TV movie that I loved so much, we recorded it on a vhs tape and I watched it all the time. It was the 1986 tv movie: The Centerville Ghost, with a baby Alyssa Milano

Rebecca Anne

I clicked Coraline until I saw Bubba Ho-Tep. The Greatest Leading Chin + Elvis + Ashleigh = Comedy Gold. It's GOLD Jerry! GOLD!

TaleenaS

DID YOU MAKE A STOP AT ROOM 237?

jonny miller

Hope you can throw Ernest Scared Stupid 1991 in there. Know what I mean? lol

Brian Wood

One I just thought of (because of a certain cameo) is Zombieland

Josh Clark

I would also love to see you review Trick 'r Treat.

Rosalind Matteson

Think obout outpost great movie I miss the lives now as I normally work Sundays meh

john shepherd

Everybody should see "Nothing But Trouble" at least once in their lives. I'm not saying it is good but you have to ask yourself "how did this get made" The answer is the studio was distracted by production problems on "Bonfire of the Vanities".

TheSingulatarian

Please add Cocaine Bear to a Wednesday HallowBeans poll! It's "scary" and gory and hilarious!

Cass&Jason

Have you seen "The Frighteners"?

R Kelly Coker

Are we finally going to see some original Universal horror classics like Dracula and Frankenstein?

Karl Balstad

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upayOFUPEoM Someone nice uploaded it in HD on Youtube since it's out of print and hard to find.

Jeb Manning

I did have an idea for something a little different. The 1970 movie called An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe. It features Vincent Price reciting and acting out four classic stories from gothic horror writer Edgar Allan Poe: The Tell-Tale Heart, The Sphinx, The Cask of Amontillado, and The Pit and the Pendulum.

Jeb Manning

If you like comedy ghost movies, check out "The Ghost and Mister Chicken" staring Don Knotts.

Shane Plagmann

I'll bet Ashleigh would get a kick out of Transylvania 6-5000

Brad Hicks

I've sent her The Raven as well

Tom Castro

I understand, but that doesn't mean I can't bring it up from time to time does it?

Tom Castro

Speaking of movies that are kind of in the horror/comedy genre, do you think Ashleigh would like the 1991 film "Nothing But Trouble" ? I mean it doesn't have a good rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but it does have some people in it that Ashleigh likes and it since it's release it does have somewhat of a cult following..

Tony Seyffer

Knowing how much Ashleigh LOVES a certain actor (no spoilers) it would be a crime not to vote for Haunted Honeymoon.

CinWin

Of course the, Beverly getting it on with the family ghost, story was lifted from Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches/Lasher which came out the year before the episode aired

Blu

My son insists I'm wrong, but I agree with Ashleigh...could barely watch Blue Velvet, for Dennis Hopper of course & I'll never forgive him for 1984's DUNE . If you have to give people, in a darkened theater a glossary of terms before the movie starts, you have failed to communicate the story through the art of film.

Blu

IKR? I plotzed

Blu

Like, really young....like a 6'4 fetus

Blu

Great film....really any of Roger Corman's Poe films...my favorite being The Raven.

Blu

Can I also suggest 1958's Bell, Book, and Candle a Witchy Comedy/Romance?

Blu

Coralline is gonna happen....but I am happy to see love shown for Bubba-Ho-Tep.

Blu

OMG CORALINE PLEASE. IVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG

Mike Huber

I actually wanted to make a suggestion that's not really on the poll, but would love to hopefully see you react to someday "The Strangers" from 2008

The-Nordic-Panda

It definitely needs to be!

Spocktacular

Oh man the whole final destination series needs to be a franchise Friday. They start great and never stop getting better

Skip

Dang, I didn't know she did a reaction to Mulholland Drive, though I think Twin Peaks is more accessible than Mulholland Drive

Matthew Barker

Ummm you should check out her Mulholland Drive reaction. Ashley don’t dance with no David Lynch

Skip

I would support this

Skip

it is not

Bleedingreen

you have to remember, she cant promise she will watch everything she is sent. it could end up on a poll

Bleedingreen

Yeah I prefer to forget that episode exists entirely, thankyouverymuch. Come to think of it, there’s a lot of that show I’d rather forget.

Chelsea

Johnny Depp in anything is good. ❤️‍🔥

Lynette Cummins

Coraline please <3

Staryu

Hi Ashleigh, I`d like to suggest some other choices for you, that include the Supernatural. The 1935 film (The Ghost Goes West) Comedy/Fantasy starring Robert Donat. The 1937 film (Topper) Comedy/Drama starring Cary Grant & Constance Bennet. The 1942 film (I Married A Witch) Fantasy/Comedy starring Veronica Lake & Fredric March. The 1960`s Tv Series (Bewitched) is supposed to be partly based on this latter film.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

really hoping Final Destination and Cabin in the Woods get on polls this year. Cabin just barely lost to Event Horizon like 2 years ago and hasn't been seen on a poll since!

JC

Dark Shadows (2012) Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Michelle Pfifer in a Tim Burton film. Perfect for Wednesdays in October.

TheSingulatarian

Elvis and JFK fight a soul sucking mummy in a nursing home. Nuff said.

TheSingulatarian

They answered that question on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

TheSingulatarian

I’d vote for Bubba Ho-Tep if it was Bubba Gump Ho-Tep

Brian Booher

But she hasn’t reacted to all the others

Brian Booher

I woulld like to recommend an unscary halloweenie movie. The Worst Witch movie from 80s. It is musical too. 😁

Confuzzled Shannon

The Pit and the Pendulum (1961) starring horror LEGEND Vincent Price. I have sent it to you (I think twice). When are you going to get around to it?

Tom Castro

High Spirits, 80s fun! A young Liam Neeson is in it.

Meredith Shivers

Can I vote for all of the above?

Shawn Ravenfire

I adore Bubba Ho-Tep but I wouldn't consider it a purely Halloween movie - you can (and should!) watch Bubba Ho-Tep any time. I'm torn on whether to vote for it because I would love Ashleigh to watch it, but others on the poll are more Halloween-ish.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

I think you mean 'would never'.

Michael Parker

AMEN! Can we get back to the 'older classic movies'? 🤷‍♂️

Michael Parker

High Spirits is amazing. Baby Liam Neeson before he was an action film star <3

Tanya Rusheon

WTF!? BUBBA HOTEP!?

Michael Parker

Not on the list, but, as you already watched one of Ernest movies, I would seriously recommend "Ernest Scared Stupid" for HallowBeans.

William Stefens

Okay, there are too many good ones on that list. Paranorman, Corpse Bride, and Coraline are all great family Hallowbeans fun. Bubba Ho-Tep is a bit of lunatic genius. And, finally, High Spirits is just a lot of '80s ghost hijinks. Which do I pick?!

Snow Goon

Go BUBBA HO TEP!

Blu

I had to vote for it...I've never seen it on a reaction video...and I know how I reacted.

Blu

Why did you add Bubba-ho-tep? I HAVE TO VOTE FOR IT!

Blu

Omg Bubba Ho-tep is sooooo fun. One of my favorites.

Caroline Cocozza

I'll second Ghost and Mr Chicken

Bruce Devine

When you get back to TV shows I think "The Haunting of Hill House" is a must-see...if you haven't seen it already.

Dawne ~ Island Green Strong

Even if High Spirits and Haunted Honeymoon don’t make the cut for October, they definitely need to added to the priority list!

Erin MacKenzie Mower

Not really a Halloween thing, but I'd love to see you watch the TV series Twin Peaks 😊

Matthew Barker

A good Wednesday movie would be Mad Monster Mash (1967) 1h 35m

Chrystina McKelvey

I've always like High Spirits. Its gonna be a fun month no matter which movie wins. 🎃👻🔪🔪🔪🔪

Lynette Cummins

Corpse bride always takes after coraline but it is worth a watch.

Brittany Winter

High Spirits because it’s one of the movies which answers the question of ‘is it possible to bang a ghost?’ with a yes. Yes it is.

Chelsea

Coraline is cool and all but Corpse Bride Walked so it could RUN!

Gio Vidrio

Voted for High Spirits because it's the only one I've seen. Hope we get some older classics this year. I'll put in another request for The Ghost and Mr Chicken for Wednesday movie day.

Bill Bevins

Ooh, this is a tough one... Coraline, Corpse Bride, AND Bubba Ho-Tep?! Hmm...

Neil Silverman

I want to vote for several, the 2 I really want aren't on the list. I want She Creature, and Howl.

Rosalind Matteson

That’s exactly what I think as well, though there are many good films here, Bubba Ho-Tep is so underrated and overlooked.

Ian Forbes

I voted for High Spirits. It’s one of my favourite comedies.

Chris Crowther

God damnit. A poll with three films I want to vote for.

Chris Crowther

I hope it wins sometime. Scary and goofy, just the right mix.

Eric

Went with Coraline but I remember being pleasantly surprised with Paranorman when that came out (underrated in the kid's "horror" animation movies list IMO).

David Hunter

Ok y'all are just being crazy or selfish. How do you not vote for Haunted Honeymoon or High Spirits??? Ashley would loooove watching her man Gene Wilder in Haunted Honeymoon and High spirits is just so hilarious and so 80s...Beverly D'Angelo, Steve Guttenberg, Daryl Hannah, Jennifer Tilly??? You can't get more classic. Shaaaaame Shaaaaame on y'all LOL

GingerMama78

Is Mothman Prophesies (sp?) on the channel already?

Spocktacular

Ma'am, please! October isn't even for another 3 mont... *looks at calendar* ... Oh. Oh god no... 😵

Nestor Custodio

If you purely consider what she have the most fun with, Bubba Ho-tep can't be touched. Probably not enough people have seen it to ever have it win a poll though. Alas.

Robert Reichle

Omg high spirits is so funny and dumb I love it sm. Shame it won’t win but made my heart happy to see it on the poll!

Tara

Would really like to get Rosemary's Baby on this year! 🖤

Stezio Decardi

She’s already reacted to The Others.

EJN

Hoping to see Teen Wolf on a poll this Hallobeans

Brian Booher

She’s done that one.

PlaceForFaith

Please think of "The Others" for sometime during "HalloBeans"... Tis worth Your Watching/Reacting/Enjoying...

James Falato

Nope.

Kenton Kruger

i fear that's why it's a long shot for polls, but my fingers crossed!

Michael Tocci

I've never heard of it!

Rachel Doddridge-Spring

I assume all those who did not vote for Bubba Ho-Tep have never seen Bubba Ho-Tep

Michael Tocci

Coraline! High Spirits would have been my second choice. Monster House would be a great Wednesday movie. It’s animated. Really hoping The Burbs’ makes the cut this year.

PlaceForFaith

CORALINE is a must! As is CORPSE BRIDE!

Scott Margeson

Coraline. Critically acclaimed movie meant for Hallobeans.

Wally

Another vote for Bubba Ho Tep. Bruce Campbell as Geriatric Elvis fights Mummies - what more could you ask for?

Jennifer McKenzie

I saw Paranorman and went YES! but then saw that it was up against Coraline and nevermind. That's gonna win. I really should watch that for the channel

Elisa H.

Coraline is by far the creepiest kid movie I’ve seen. But soooo good

Glen Ova

Woo hoo! I was the first vote! I love Bubba Ho-Tep but I know it’s the least known one there and will probably get the least votes.

Stewart Shutler

Awesome, Bubba Ho-tep!

Weird

I feel like you'd really enjoy Coraline, and I hope it makes it onto your list this month, even if it's not the first one!

Donald Lang

Gene Wilder! Haunted Honeymoon!

Cass&Jason

You will LOVE Haunted Honeymoon! Gene!! ❤️
