2024-10-12 04:32:58 +0000 UTCCreepshow for sure, and another movie that's kind of the same genre (the horror anthology genre) that i'd love to see Ashleigh react to is "Twilight Zone:The Movie (1983)!
Tony Seyffer
2024-09-25 03:26:12 +0000 UTCPan's Labyrinth and The Changeling (1980). SO good. Also Babadook and the amazing new Longlegs (with Nicolas Cage!)

2024-09-22 04:07:40 +0000 UTCI got to put in for Creepshow (1982). Its full of hilarious gags and you get to see Stephen King act. I've always loved this one.
Stephen Koehler
2024-09-21 23:55:30 +0000 UTCI feel like we need a classic Hallowbeans week.

2024-09-21 19:33:28 +0000 UTCDon't know if anyones mentioned it yet but you could get a head started on Hallowbeans by watching Muppets Haunted Mansion next Friday.

2024-09-20 15:09:42 +0000 UTCSuggestions for Hallowbeans Light Hearted: Ernest Scared Stupid, since you're already familiar. In the dark: SAW, original from 2004. not sure if it has ever been in a poll but I would think it would be a top contender.

2024-09-20 14:27:19 +0000 UTCToo bad Gene Hackman isn't in that one as well. 😉 Bride does have a good ending though.

2024-09-20 11:16:57 +0000 UTCCabin in the Woods - came in 2nd two years ago and you have seen enough horror movies to understand the references. Trick R' Treat - horror anthology that may be a little confusing but is still fun. The Final Girls - little horror comedy starring Taissa Farmiga from American Horror Story. This little gem is a lot of fun and references the Friday the 13th films with their killer Billy. The Descent - perfect for night vision and even better if you are at least a little bit claustrophobic. Almost an all-female cast except for a brief male role in the beginning of the film.
Cristina Collins-Armstrong
2024-09-20 04:56:56 +0000 UTCFRAILTY directed by Bill Paxton is perfect for Hallobeans with the lights off. (Will not spoil the other big name in the cast.)
Paul Stelter
2024-09-20 02:25:45 +0000 UTCAlso lighter Hallobeans-Eating Raoul
David Simon
2024-09-20 00:58:02 +0000 UTCLighter Hallobeans-Bride of the Monster (dir Ed Wood) or Glen or Glenda (dir Ed Wood)
David Simon
2024-09-20 00:54:46 +0000 UTCMy Hallowbeans suggestion is Wallace & Grommit: Curse of the Where-Rabbit for a Wednesday movie. I mentioned it in another post too. I am not a horror movie fan so it’s the only suggestion I have haha

2024-09-19 22:03:00 +0000 UTCBlithe Spirit, Topper, Ghost and Mrs Muir, Time of Their Lives all excellent and lighthearted. Something Wicked This Way Comes, Lady in White, Hitchcock's Notorious, The Birds and Vertigo
TaleenaS
2024-09-19 19:29:07 +0000 UTCTopper and Bell, Book, and Candle are both fun not all scary good movies. I recommend.
Travis Taylor
2024-09-19 15:21:01 +0000 UTCIf she does them like she does every year, the process is: 1) She uploads a video with a phrase either in the video or in the description. 2) You write that phrase in the comments (could be just the phrase or part of your regular comment.) 3) Ashleigh will scan all her videos comments and pick ONE person per video. This person will be placed into the final list of names written on pieces of paper. 4) Beans selects three of them. That's it! All free to enter.

2024-09-19 15:20:37 +0000 UTCI’d like to recommend some lighter 80’s horror movies. House (1985), Phantasm (1979), Puppetmaster, Cat’s Eye (Steven King) Also They Live, it’s sci-fi but it’s John Carpenter. Also House (1977 Japan).

2024-09-19 01:47:02 +0000 UTCQ, so the winners are picked from the merch orders or just from the regular patron supporters?
Shawn Doyle
2024-09-19 00:33:25 +0000 UTCFinally made my choices and checked out and forgot to use the code! Still some cute designs and finally some mugs! Though I do prefer a 16oz, but at least it's something. Sad not to see some zippered hoodies, as the pullovers never really fit right for me, but I did get a couple of front only t-shirts. .

2024-09-19 00:12:34 +0000 UTCBram Stroker's Dracula would be my Hallobeans suggestion. Not overly scary and I'm sure Ashley would hate old ass Gary Oldmen but drool over the younger one
Estersdoll
2024-09-18 23:29:56 +0000 UTCI think the time is right for the old school Universal monster movies. I would also suggest The Ghost and Mr Chicken.
Bruce Devine
2024-09-18 23:17:43 +0000 UTCThat’s pretty exciting, Ashleigh! I have a PS5 that I barely play now, so I would want somebody else to win that. But being able to pick any movie to react to would be pretty sweet. 🎃

2024-09-18 21:36:03 +0000 UTCIs this where we leave a comment with a specific phrase to enter?

2024-09-18 17:12:51 +0000 UTCI’d suggest the original made for tv movie Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark (1980) because I remember it scared the crap out of me as a kid, but part of me thinks it may not have held up (it was made for tv and I WAS just a kid)
Hugly307

2024-09-18 16:42:31 +0000 UTCJust ordered a Captain MEOWica t-shirt. Couldn’t resist. It combines too many things I like: cats, the Avengers, Halloween, and it supports and celebrates your fun month.

2024-09-18 16:32:29 +0000 UTCHey Ashleigh can you maybe put up a Hallowbeans category forum so we can suggest movies before a poll? For example: fun/lighthearted suggestions, ghost suggestions, zombie, psychological thriller etc?
TaleenaS
2024-09-18 16:29:19 +0000 UTCFor scary nightvision Im voting for The Fog (1980) Ashleigh is WAY overdue for that one For lighter wednesdays voting for The Lady Vanishes (1938) Hitchcock suspense and mystery but a great romantic comedy at the same time

2024-09-18 16:17:47 +0000 UTCOh look! An impromptu Hallobeans suggestion thread. Here are mine: 1) A Double Feature of Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. They are both relatively short and play as one movie. 2) The SWEDISH version of "Let The Right One In". It's hauntingly beautiful and it is so worth the subtitles. HAPPY HALLOBEANS!
Curtis Martin
2024-09-18 16:14:05 +0000 UTCWhoa! Awesome! Can't wait for Hallowbeans.

2024-09-18 15:51:29 +0000 UTCSo cool! I suggest the original Bad Seed from the 50’s. Copycat isn’t a horror movie but a good thriller with one of your favorite actresses.
Brandie Woodward
2024-09-18 15:46:53 +0000 UTCFor Wednesday fun Hallowbeans movie I suggest The Ghost and Mr Chicken. It was very popular in the 60s at Halloween.

MacGyver16502
2024-09-18 15:42:33 +0000 UTCAs a former MMM it feels dirty to compete for a movie selection. But I could use a PS5, so I guess movie selection will have to be collateral bonus :D :D :D
Michael Tocci
2024-09-18 15:42:04 +0000 UTCWould love to see some classic Vincent Price movies on the channel. When I was a kid his films were always popular at Halloween. I would suggest The Pit and the Pendulum, House of Wax, The Indomitable Dr Phibes, House on Haunted Hill and my favorite The Witchfinder General (released as The Conquerer Worm in the US.)
Bill Bevins
