Just throwing my weight in--please continue with Buffy. I remember I first found the show when the middle of S2 was airing and was instantly hooked. I went back and watched S1 during the summer when the reruns were airing and was like, "Um, what even is this mess." When I do rewatches of the show, I usually skip S1 entirely (If I do watch any, it's "Angel" and/or "Prophecy Girl" and that's it). Patience. When the show gets rolling, it has the same amazing combination of hilarity/emotion/complication that you loved with Firefly. People wouldn't still be watching it 25 years later if campy, dumb monsters was all the show had to offer.

2024-08-28 02:51:32 +0000 UTCI really hope you watch straight through the entirety of Buffy - there are plot and character arcs and a lot of call-backs and continuity that span the seasons, and if you break it up for months at a time you could easily lose a lot of that payoff. And I remember with what excitement our family bought, first an actual electric typewriter; and then, oh, then! An IBM PC that had place of honor in our dining room/office space. But glad you’re enjoying it! I’m sure you won’t continue the entire series right away, you’ve got a pretty busy channel. But I do hope you at least continue Season 2 straight away. I feel like that when the show really starts to shine.

I think seasons 2&3 are my favorite and then season 6 is great too. I will say I'm glad they only did 7 seasons. I think they really kind of "jumped the shark" in 6, but then had a chance to wrap things up in 7.
