I meant to comment this on the last video! But your resident Bleach expert is slow af. -Uryu's hollow bait was only meant to attract like 30 hollows, max. The fact that Kurakara Town (Ichigo's home town) has so many people with higher then average spiritual pressure, is why it attracted far more. Which follows into my second point. -Uryu definitely fucked up! However! The majority of the town was actually not at risk. Hollows go after people with higher spiritual pressures above all else. Hence why Ichigo's family got attacked episode 1. Hence why Chad, Orihime, Tatsuki, etc. Got attacked first. The anime throws this stuff at you way WAY too fast. That's why the manga spends more time in the slice of life setting.
