2023-12-22 16:53:33 +0000 UTCOne of the best films ever made about Hollywood dreams turning into the stuff of nightmares, and about a soul being warped by unrequited love and jealousy. I find it intensely moving. Every few years I revisit it wondering if it's power might have diminished, but it always has me sobbing uncontrollably by the end. What Naomi Watts does in this film is near-miraculous - it's one of the greatest performances I have ever seen.
