The story lines of all the X-Men are definitely not connected. The timelines are off and character relationships are way off as well. X-Men has always been one of my all time favorite. I grew up with the 90's series as well as (some of) the comics. Even with them not matching I still get excited about an X-Men film release. They have been made so well and I do like the casting!
