Jayne Mansfield was a blonde bombshell actress who was super popular in the 50s/60s. She also did Playboy, so she was one of the "bad/risque" starlets (like Mae West), and was called "The working man's Marilyn" since she was more rough around the edges. She is sometimes confused for Marilyn Monroe in references (such as at the drive-in restaurant in Pulp Fiction). She is also the reason semi-trucks have that bar under the trailer- that's why they are called Mansfield bars - she died in a horrific car accident that resulted in the change. Jayne Mansfield is Mariska Hargitay's mother, she was 3 at the time and bears a scar from the crash.
