What's Next?

Some Sequels, some not, some new, some old but I need you to vote! This poll will be for the first two Mondays in May so pick your two favs!

(because I'll get asked about it - LOTR The Two Towers is not on here because I have stuff coming up and simply do not have time to edit a 3 hour movie lolol.  It will be on a future sequels poll tho.)

Ashleigh said she likes Kurt Russell. I'd like to see her react to Soldier from 1998.

I'm still hoping to see Terms of Endearment on a poll

Agreed! I want Ashleigh to react to both and I am so happy that no matter what the result is, we are getting an amazing reaction video 😌

I’m rooting for Thelma And Louise. A cinematic essential…. And it made Brad Pitt a star.

Michael Smith

For once, my top two choices are winning. What alternate universe have I fallen into?

Need to watch return to me, old yeller, murder by death, dead silence, music and lyrics, man in the moon, while you were sleeping, divine secrets of the ya ya sisterhood, scream series, conjuring series, insidious series, bringing up baby, the art of racing in the rain, frequency, the shallows, just like heaven

Early request for June - The (unfortunately) more topical than ever "To Wong Foo, Thanks for everything. Julie Newmar. Also, it occurred to me that Ashleigh has not seen Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby. This must be rectified!

Curtis Martin

Old Yeller? I know how that ends. Nope. Maybe Homeward Bound.

Curtis Martin

Lots of great movies on your list. My favorite on that list has to be Music and Lyrics. The on-set chemistry is so much fun.

Love, love love First Wives Club! "You don't own me" :-)

Love all the different opinions here, can't say I agree with them all but I will say I think The Sting is highly underrated. It's such a great movie and a young Robert Redford and Paul Newman, I mean come on....if it doesn't win this time, please watch it at some point.

Please review Flash Gordon (1980)

I don’t get these pics they’re ok but there are some great movies she hasn’t even got in to. These are all just ok. ,she’s never seen old yeller a classic everyone should see. And the fact she’s never seen. Man in the moon, while you were sleeping, the ya ya sisterhood, music and lyrics, bringing up baby, murder by death, just like heaven, return to me, abbot and Costello meet the murderer Boris Karloff , so many great movies.

Chasing Amy is a really interesting movie from a historical and cultural perspective. I just rewatched it this morning. Like, Kevin Smith was definitely not the right dude to tackle those themes. I can’t argue with anyone who calls it biphobic - I don’t think it’s hostile, but it’s definitely ignorant and uninformed. But what’s interesting about it to me is how Kevin Smith, as a pretty clueless straight dude, is struggling in good faith with issues that, when it was released, were awfully complex. It feels like the whole movie is less him prescribing answers or making statements than asking questions. I prefer curiosity to assumption, especially at a time when so many straight cis people just thought they understood sexuality as a binary. That’s no excuse for some of the wildly ignorant shit that gets said in that movie, especially from Jason Lee’s character. But also, that character is an asshole, right? He’s not meant to be respected, he’s a foil. I dunno, it’s good conversation if nothing else.

I’d love to see ‘The First Wives Club’(1996) pop up in the polls at some future date. Lots of 90s mid-life girl-power fun with Bette Midler, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn. ❤️

Grace C.

The Fog has Jamie Lee Curtis and a killer soundtrack, that’s enough for me.

Chelsea

I see we have some more Tim Burton on the list! It’s one I enjoy, but no list of Tim Burton’s best films is complete without his first. And you know what I’m going to say already: Pee Wee’s Big Adventure!

Some more suggestions: Network (1976) The Wicker Man (1973) The In-Laws (1979) Repo Man (1984) Taxi Driver (1976) Hairspray (1988)

Michael Buhl

Young Sherlock Homes is BRILLIANT!!

Michael Parker

Critically, I'd say The Sting and Thelma & Louise are the top two. I don't know if Ashleigh can handle the ending of The Fog
