EARLY ACCESS: It Happened One Night

Comments

What a wonderful experience it was to watch you discover this wonderful romantic comedy

Michael Smith

Clark Gable's wise cracks and of course eating the carrot is supposedly one of the inspirations for Bugs Bunny.

Clark Gable is also funny and so clever and great in Gone With The Wind. It also has that back and forth romance.

Robert Reichle

Thank YOU, I am lookin' forward to it

Michael Tocci

I just got done costuming a Victorian show. I'd love to do some 30s fashion again, soon! This was super fun to watch!

Jill Peterson

Did anyone else notice the auto gyro's _real_ pilot can be seen, scrunched down in the cockpit?

$100,000 in 1934 is $2.2 million today. According to the BLS, the average wage in the US in 1934 was $25...per _week_. So giving away $10 was about half a week's wages.

Thanks for "L.A. Story". A fantastic movie.

I've often wondered if she's noticed how much richer her life is, now that she knows where all these phrases and scenes come from. So many movies lift bits from movies like "It Happened One Night", and it's hard to fully appreciate modern films without knowing where these come from.

Ashleigh's comment about how she may not have liked this movie when she first started the channel is important! Sometimes people predict that she won't like something because of the year, the pacing, etc... but we must remember- she has spent the last few years leveling up!

Michael Tocci

Now you have to watch Harvey

Rickie Muth

I third Bringing Up Baby!

Curtis Martin

i second Bringing Up Baby! That's one of my favorites

Marcus Jeter

Congratulations! I think you watched your first screwball comedy. If you liked this genre, I’d recommend My Man Godfrey, The Thin Man, and Bringing Up Baby:

Richard Meyer

Liked this reaction of an old school classic film….but knowing Ashleigh has now watched My Girl I am looking forward to see the reaction 🐝👓
