HAPPY NEW YEARRRRR

EARLY ACCESS: Endgame Part 2

Comments

The Kirstie Alley tribute poll needs to have "For Richer or Poorer".

Idk if it's been mentioned before but you should consider doing Cool Runnings at some point

Happy New Year, Ashley! I don't know if someone already mentioned it, but the character Thanos became a victim of what I call the "relatable/tragic Villain Syndrome". In the comics, Thanos' reason to kill half of the universe was that he wanted to impress Lady Death (Death is a female anthomorphism in the marvel universe ) because he is in love with her but she has no interest in him. So basically, Thanos did all that because he's an Incel! But the MCU didn't want to go with that story and wanted him to have a relatable reason. Even when they originally started with the comic story! In The Avengers (2012), in the end credit scene, Thanos’s aid tells him β€œto challenge [humans] is to court death.” This is a nod to Thanos’s comic-book motive, which was to literally court/marry Lady Death. But it seems you can't have villains anymore who are just egotistical a-holes... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

This journey has been great, Ms. Ashley. You are the best. Now waiting anxiously for you to finish the Harry Potter movies….πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

also my super long youtube comment just in case youtube dusts it: Future movie spoiler free comment...gonna be long: I am very pleased with your reaction. It was genuine, it ran the gamut of all emotions and it showed your love for the series that most of us can share in and empathize with. You didn't pull punches and you didn't fake anything. The long wait to this movie was WELL worth it (this reaction could wield Mjolnir). I couldn't be more satisfied and I loved the 12 minutes retrospection...it was most needed. Steve was worthy (the highlight of the movie for me and many others) and believe it or not in the comics your girl Black Widow showed worthiness just like Cap. Another comic call back I love was Cap being the last one standing vs Thanos and his army (in one of the comics Steve is the last one to stare down Thanos before ultimately also perishing at the hands of the mad Titan). Vision, Black Widow, etc don't come back for various reasons. For Vision (and guys like Heimdall) he was killed before/independently of the dusting and Tony/Bruce made it clear their plan was to bring back those dusted, nothing more...so they did exist in this universe but because of the rules Tony and the others agreed to they are not returning from the grave as the others did in the climax. Black Widow didn't come back because she was exchanged for the soul stone and that's the price of having said stone. Captain America is done in a manner of speaking. Steve Rogers is retired but the mantle of Captain America itself is not done. Yeah Doctor Strange is a cold SOB, everything he did from the moment he saw into the future was calculated. He let Peter Quill lose his cool, he chose to give the stone for tony's life (that should have been the first sign something was up since he made it clear he wouldn't do that) and then refused to tell tony the outcome. I am elated you understood that, no one does on their first go. Thanos can never be right with his ideology. You mention problem and he found a solution....that terminology and ideology was seen before on this planet...and the man that espoused that was a complete psychopath and completely wrong. (Note: I know this is a movie and not RL, just saying genocide is never right. Also I am not calling the people that "agree" as bad as that RL person). I am personally proud to have correctly guessed (read that as hoped) Cap would wield the Hammer and get back with Peggy (BTW, love the "what's her tits" comment referring to her LMAO) in the lead up to this movie. The signature thing is kind of a call back to the original Star Trek films. The original Star Trek cast had their signatures in the end credits of the final movie they did. Marvel upped the ante by having the iconic scene montage for each of the original Avengers cast members in addition to their signatures. At the end of the credits there *is* an easter egg, the metallic hammering you hear is actually the hammering Tony makes when he is building his original suit in the cave in Iron Man. It's one final amazing callback, albeit simple in nature. As for what's next...you are actually pretty caught up. Only a handful of movies to catch up on and the TV shows are completely optional. Your marvel journey isn't over but I don't think it is in dire need of month after month of MCU Marvel member picks (but that's me). You took the rollercoaster journey very well. Love the opening and closing cards. I apologize for the length of the comment being as long as the movie.

Said this on youtube but agree. It's a proper capstone to the saga and personally the best Avengers movie.

After all these months I can finally bring back my Cap wielding Mjolnir profile picture. LOL

the loki show explains things

100% agree. Even if you don't watch for the channel, you should watch as a fan. It's one of my favorite TV series ever.

Derek Hiemforth

Not sure if you addressed this in the full video but the young man at Tony's funeral at the end was the kid from Iron Man 3 who helped Tony. They apparently kept in touch through the years.

I highly, highly recommend you watch the WandaVision series (it's only a few episodes), even if you don't watch it for the channel you should check it out. Yes, Vision was created and he was killed before the first snap and in the second snap they only brought back those that were snapped out of existence in Thanos' snap.

"This is Paul Harvey. Good Day."

Individuals can always nitpick with details, but I think Endgame succeeded in surpassing all the prior films that led up to this. And now you know why you needed to watch each movie int the right sequence without spoilers. If you hadn't, this movie wouldn't have the impact. They didn't change the past. Loki was killed by Thanos, he wasn't snapped. Vision was killed by Thanos to get the stone. He wasn't snapped. Gamora died to get the soul stone and so did Natasha. A soul for a soul. They are gone forever. They only did two things with the stones. First, Banner/Hulk brought back everyone who was snapped away. An Tony snapped away Thanos and his army. Then Steve returned the stones to their proper place in the other timeline. There are more Marvel movies and mini-series that follow this and will answer some of your questions.
