I love that Sherlock and Watson are both in the MCU. And the Baker St/Bleeker St parallel in Dr strange is so fun for us Sherlock fans :)

This was a fun watch along. I especially liked the little chat we had during the end credits waiting for the extra scenes ❤️

I started this at like 1:30am CST intending to just watch a few minutes, but it is such a good movie, and I enjoy Ashleigh's reactions so much here I am an hour later and probably going to finish the movie. lol

Been long enough now I don't even really enjoy the Youtube cuts anymore.

I love these watchalongs so much, it's like watching a movie with a friend. Got this watch along set up after getting out of work, made some pizza, and hung out with Ashleigh. Couldn't ask for a better night.

The soundtrack, which was curated by Kendrick Lamar, is one of the best in recent memory. (And not MCU, but the soundtrack for Birds of Prey is also an absolute banger as long as I'm recommending soundtracks.)

I am amused by how much this movie's plot is similar to The Lion King. Mufasa Forever!

Super fun reaction to one of the very best, and most important, Marvel movies. Instead of writing down my thoughts on the film, i'd like to share a quote from Carmen Phillips' review that she wrote for Autostraddle, because if i as a white guy in his 40s was so moved by Black Panther, i can hardly imagine how watching it would feel for little girls and boys of color all over the world.
"In Wakanda, there are no meek damsels in distress waiting to be saved. [...] They’re equal partners in the fight to protect their home. They also have full fledged, varied, personalities. They are funny, or serious, wise, sneaky, nerdy, and geeky. Black Panther gives us more women, in more speaking parts, kicking more ass than any other Marvel film. More than the previous 17 Marvel films combined. In many ways, they are everything I could’ve hope for.
Multiple times throughout the movie, I could clearly imagine all the little girls who will now play “Black Panther” in their backyards or their living room. They will toss pillows in the air pretending they are shooting Shuri’s hand cannons, or climb trees like Nakia. They will corner their brothers with pretend spears like Okoye. They will make makeshift chemistry labs in their bedrooms and get dirty with grass stains on their knees. The thought alone, it left me teary."
