What's Next? Sequel Edition
Added 2022-08-29 13:12:09 +0000 UTCI listened to your feedback about putting sequels on separate polls SO with that being said I am going to start having at least one poll a month be just for sequels.
For the first time run, pick your favorite and feel free to comment below movies I've may have watched a hot second ago that have sequels that I've forgotten about!
If you like this idea of just a sequels only polls at least once a month - let me know :)

2022-09-12 16:43:13 +0000 UTCI'm going to forever suggest the 1993 classic Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. It's the best animal movie ever! You'll laugh and cry and it's so good

2022-09-08 01:17:46 +0000 UTCOpti Frog, Myself, I liked both the theater and extended versions. Though I wonder if they were edited down for the simple fear, realistic or otherwise of the higher-ups that the full version would be too much for the average person. That said for at least the Return of king there is portions of the extended version that should have been included in the theater version that is important to people understanding Aragorn's character development. Will Leave it at that so as not to get into spoiler warningsπππ. Definitely agree that they should be enjoyed for the wonderful movies they truly are. Though I am often skeptical of the giving of Oscars, I do believe the LOTR earned the Oscars the movies received. But then again I am a major Tolkien fan. And being a major fan, I would like to apologize to Ashleigh for any and all harsh to downright nasty comments she stated she received from Tolkien fans due to her rating of her reaction to Fellowship of the Rings. Ashleigh, as much as I hoped you would have enjoyed the movie more, I truly respect your views and your reasons even if I may not agree with them. I only hope you will continue with the Trilogy so you get the closure you were hoping for at the end The Fellowship of the Ring. When you consider that Tolkien himself never felt his books could be recreated as a movie, the fact that Peter Jackson did a great a job as he did in putting the books to the big screen says a lot about his passion, dedication, and vision the the story. Not to mention his overall talent and skills as a director.

2022-09-07 23:59:22 +0000 UTCKenton, Kruger, Definitely agree that officially Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers and Return of the King are not true sequels as they are one/two simultaneous stories split into three parts. but then, so is the Harry Potter series. However Harry Potter is different than LOTR, whereas Although there is the overall storyline arc that spams across the seven books of the series, each book contains its own sub story that gives closure to that book whereas with LOTR, it truly is one overall story that spans across three books with the ending and closure achieved with Return of the King. And although long, you really do need to continue with the extended versions. Especially with Return of the King. It will be worth it.

2022-09-07 21:40:50 +0000 UTCGreat idea. Though now a Halloween type scary movie, the fact that Voldermort killed Harry's parents and tried to kill him as a baby on Holloween definitely counts.
