I'm soooo glad you watched the end credit scene. I was so sad when I thought you'd missed it.

I thought Working Girl came in second. Ashleigh - you will love that film. Please put that one in rotation. You won't regret it.

Hopefully someone she pays attention to will let her know there are more adult themes in this movie than 'kid' themes (tho those are important too). I think it's a great film about how we all struggle with ourselves, our relationships, our successes, our failures -- with love, compassion and a Cowboy Gil.

Parenthood has been pushed fairly heavily since she started her Patreon but has never made it to a poll. I wonder if her aversion to having kids makes her think she'll find little of interest in this film, or she thinks it'll just be one of those "cute kids say silly things" movies. I hope she eventually gives it a shot, it's so worth watching.

Ash, can’t believe you’ve not watched the best John Candy movie ever “Cool Runnings” has to be next.

Liking Steve Martin as you do, you should put Parenthood on the must watch list. Half a dozen wonderful, funny subplots running thru the film, that all weave together beautifully in the end.
It is getting harder to find/remember all the ones she's done.

A quick search reveals that you've never reacted to Caddyshack....since it seems you love silly, over-the-top, slapstick comedy I think you would really enjoy that one...it's an 80s classic featuring iconic roles by Chevy Chase and Bill Murray with so many quotable lines that you probably are familiar with but weren't aware of the source.

That is a great suggestion Kenton.
There is no need to follow a poll each Monday, Ashleigh should be able to pick a movie she wants to watch.
She has to have a list of movies she wants to see but is wanting to include us, which is nice but I would love to see an Ashleigh choice.

I would be in favour of at least one Monday a month simply being "Ashleigh's Pick" where she doesn't bother with a poll and simply chooses a movie she feels like watching.
And I really do mean "at least"; I'd be fine if most were.

This is definitely one of my favorite John Candy movies. It's so good. I love the stuff with the bear and the raccoons. This one is one of Joghn Hughes best movies. And I hear you about John Hughes being hit or miss. I love a good lot of them, but then there are others like Sixteen Candles and Ferris Bueller's Day Off that I can't stand. I'd also recommend Weird Science. That's one of my favorite John Hughes movies. Clerks is great. I think you might love that one, but I also recommend watching Mallrats and Dogma. Those are also great movies by Kevin Smith.
