WATCH ALONG: Grumpier Old Men

This wasn't intended for any specific video. The audio on all her reactions are so much lower than her talking that if I turn it up to hear what she is reacting to, her commentary almost blows out my speakers. It wouldn't have been about audio mixing if I meant a video that has no audio from the movie at all. As I said before, "I'm not complaining. I enjoy seeing you having such a great time but a little better audio mix would help me out a lot." Not a big deal. Just the balance is way off.

But she _can_ use the snippets of the movie without a problem. So not for the Watch Along, but the short reaction video can use the audio legally. Even _parts_ of the soundtrack are OK, but since YouTube has this horrible algorithm, it's probably better to mute that. The key is that it has to be just parts of the work, and it has to be for fair use purposes, like commenting on the work.

I'm thinking Bill just typed this under the wrong video. I just watched a bit of the Youtube edit and she does have the movie volume set far lower than her own.

She cant provide audio or video for the whole movie as that would violate copyright law, its common among all reactors.

I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned this to Ashleigh when she watched Grumpy Old Men, but the two main actors were together in another movie years ago. Jack Lemmon and Walther Matthau (pronounced MATH-ow) was grumpy younger men in the 1968 comedy The Odd Couple. Rotten Tomatoes critics give it 97% and audience 89%. By the way, the grumpy old men love interests (Ann-Margret and Sophia Loren, rhymes with 'more in') were sex symbols in the 60s and later.

I haven’t watched this one yet, but usually any sync issues with Ashleigh’s videos are due to her running at something like 105%, slightly faster than the playback speed of the movie. If you slow the playback speed of her video down to 95% it will usually fix any issues.
