SAME! Sadly, way too common, but we are so blessed to have communities with people like Ashleigh and others who remind us that we can still have so many other wonderful relationships, even without our birth fathers in the picture.

My dad isn't in my life as he made choices that made being in a relationship with him not healthy, So I too have been without my dad in my life for about 19-20 years. It is easy for me in the fact that he chose to do things that aren't ok so he lost his family. But the hard part is knowing who he could have been and what our family would have been. ANYWAY, I say that all to say I see your pain and I can understand it from a far. Much love and healing to you sweet Ashleigh. <3 Thank you for being you! There's a couple of good ones but most range from mediocre to utter trash. Personally I've enjoyed both Marvel and DC comics (although I learn toward marvel) and I wish that Warner Bros. had done a better job with the DC films.

2022-07-01 06:18:29 +0000 UTCNo need to worry about running makeup or ugly crying. There were probably people out there bawling their eyes out with you when they watched this. My story about bawling my eyes out for this movie is that my dad died almost 2 weeks before this film came out, and it was pretty devastating. I had no idea all the dad/family stuff was going to be in this, so I was going to the theater for escapism. That worked out REAL well, didn't it? But I've now seen this movie about 8 or 9 times, and I'll still bawl my eyes out. I expect I always will.

2022-06-30 22:54:39 +0000 UTCI did okay (for me, I cry pretty easy) when I saw the movie, but then I was listening to the soundtrack on the platform waiting for the train a few weeks later and Cat Stevens hit and ... well, my best friend's dad was dying at the time. I was able to hold it together, but that basically just means I didn't collapse on the platform.
