Okay, once I got the synching sorted that was fun.
It maybe a generational thing, but moments in movies like the Spider sequence are sometimes what makes a film for me.
It informs on a character, for me, up until this point I knew Pesci's character was violent but I still sort of liked him. Now this shows him completely off the rails and unhinged and my opinion changes.
I also like quiet moments in films, where the film is given time to breath. I miss this most in a lot of more modern films where your just linking action set pieces together.

Why Field of Dreams? It’s pure schmaltz.

I think gangster movies may just not be Ashleigh’s bag, which is totally ok. They’re not for everyone. I loved the reaction, and she seemed to have a reasonably good time anyway. I think she’ll like Field of Dreams a lot more, that’s a potential tearjerker.

Henry Hill actually lived until 2012. He used to appear on the Howard Stern show regularly until he died.

The old lady that played Tommy's mother is Martin Scorsese's mother in real life.

Other Martin Scorsese movies you should check out are Casino and The Wolf of Wall Street. but if you didn't enjoy GoodFellas very much you probably won't enjoy Casino either. It has Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci along with Sharon Stone in the performance of her life. I think you saw her in Total Recall.

Even her giving it 3 seemed low for the bulk of her reaction.

Gah, another synching issue, I can't work out what speed to play the reaction to keep it synched with the movie.
But worth persevering

I’ve never seen a lower score to this movie before this. Interesting. But was a fun reaction regardless.

You're right, Robert DeNiro was such a young lad here, a spry 47 years old!
