While Guest was born in America only his mother was American.
His father was Baron Hayden-Guest of Saling in the county of Essex in England.
Christopher himself became the 5th Baron Hayden-Guest and served in the British House of Lords for several years after his father died.

Best In Show is the absolute best of the Christopher Guest movies. The one I can watch over and over, you will know most the actors in that one as well (helps that Christopher guest uses Michael McKean and Fred Willard and others a lot). Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy are one of the couples, way before they did Schitt’s Creek.

Waiting to see if anyone sends you the Spinal Tap album in the next mail video.

I think Michael McKean is fantastic in "Better Call Saul".

Some funny lines, but yeah, I think this film is way over rated. Hopefully she gets to watch A mighty wind someday

The guy with the long blonde hair in the band is Michael McKean who played Lenny in Laverne and Shirley. And Fred Willard (the guy you said looked familiar) has been in a ton of things including Wall-E, Anchorman and Modern Family.

If you loved this, you will also love another Christopher Guest classic "Best in Show". Hilarious "mock-documentary" of crazy dog people taking their dogs to a big dog show. Lots of the same actors plus many new ones. It's amazing.

I thought Guffman was just okay, but Ashleigh can react to that one too, sure!

I wouldn't call this "Dry" or "Witty" humor... "Monty Python" humor definitely... "Leave Your Brain At The Theater Door" humor... But Fun?!? Yes!?!

Since you liked this you would love Best in show. It's got the same actors who play in the band and it's hilarious.

So glad this is over, I may be a minority, but I've never liked this movie. A few good parts, but never worked for me. On top of that I only ever liked Michael McKean as Lenny, nothing else. Nevertheless, I'll watch her review anything.

Now that you've seen this movie, you gotta go down the rabbit hole of Christopher Guest mockumentaries. "Best in Show" and "A Mighty Wind" are just as worthwhile of a watch as Spinal Tap, so you should TOTALLY give those two a go sometime in the future! :)

As many people have already said by now, none of the main cast are British, they're all American. But that's just a testament to how talented they are that they can convince you into thinking they were! And that they understand British comedy well enough to replicate it!

Great reaction...I've always loved this movie I can remember going to see it with my best friend who has since passed on(this was his favorite movie BTW we had been friends since about age 8 or so) and it is a little bittersweet...but yeah big hard rock fan went to concerts all through 80's and 90's (last one I saw was Deep Purple in 2019!)...I went to an album signing by Black Sabbath in the late 90's as I recall Ozzy Osbourne was in a kinda nasty mood the rest of the guys were really nice especially Bill Ward the drummer(A humourous aside: I also saw Sabbath on their tour at that time and during the shows Bill kept a defibrillator next to his drum kit)...and lastly the bit where Nigel uses the violin in his guitar solo is a nod to Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page who often used a violin bow during his guitar solos
