EARLY ACCESS: Kindergarten Cop

Comments

casper live action movie from 1995 would be a good one to see you watch being spooky season in all

Joey Farley

Another vote for Silverado! (but not for Hallobeans)

Theadora

I'll throw in another vote for True Lies. Also, Total Recall and Terminator 2 are must watch Arnold movies.

Torben Dix

Crap, I never knew of the other list

Got it, you can delete the comment if you want. You did send at least one repeat -- don't miss that the sheet has two tabs at the bottom, separating out the individual films and the box sets.

I am that person, and yes, that would be great.

Tyler Foster

Ever gone back to your elementary school when you have reached adult sized? It's a trip

ingibingi2000

I had a male kindergarten teacher, way before this movie came out. It was the early 80s. I remember him being about 20 feet tall. Lol

Kristine Friling

To whoever is maintaining "Ashleigh's Library", I have recently sent Ashleigh 23 DVD's, I got confirmation that she picked up the box. Would it be helpful to you if I sent you a list of what was sent?? It would be no trouble, I already have it and enclosed a copy in the shipment to help you a little.

litesronno1shome

we need an Ashleigh Instagram posting of her doing Ahnold impressions.... It's not a Toomah, I'll be back and My Heart just hit my ahsshole

litesronno1shome

Timothy Estrada: I'm not touching that comment with a ten foot stripper pole

litesronno1shome

Also Hettie in NCIS LA

Timothy Estrada

True Lies - Arnie and Jaime Lee Curtis - GOLD.

Derri .

Blair Witch would be an interesting reaction

Paul Johnson

Carrie (1976), Arachnophobia (1990), From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), The Blair Witch Project (1999)

litesronno1shome

its all shits and giggles till somebody giggles and shits...... sorry, that's just not right

litesronno1shome

The two best Early Arnie movies are Total Recall and Commando. They're the perfect comedy/action blend. JK. The correct answer is the Conan movies!!!!!!!!

Ayah Setel

Arnold’s actually improved a bit in the 10’s and 20’s, since he turned gray and had to give up the pec-flexing: Now that he’s staying in politics, his “S**** your ‘freedoms’!” was a healthy answer to Anti-Vaxx’ers, and his 1/7 YouTube message about growing up in a guilt-ridden Austria as a kid after WWII was a memorable message about the costs of political mania we didn’t get from anyone else.

Eric Janssen

Charles... I was only "hoping" to surprise Ashleigh about Linda Hunt's Oscar performance, and your reply was legit, it just had me realize she now knew, and I replied rather poorly...

James Falato

The only other two things I’ve seen crisp in is Two moon junction and Blackhawk down

Brett Delbridge

I lost it when your heart hit your asshole

Brett Delbridge

She's also excellent in the film that saved the Western genre, "Silverado", as the bartender of the local saloon, Stella

Sean Novack

I was just going to recommend that one. True Lies and Total Recall are kind of the pinnacles of Arnold's "Humor" and "Action" film tracts in my opinion.

Sean Novack

Sorry. Not a criticism, but it strikes me that we some way of signaling to other commenters "no one tell Ashleigh anymore about this!"? :)

Vedexent

the kid with the bangs was me as a kid. LOL

stephen phillips

This is one of those movies that I will watch every time I catch it on TV, even if it's just the last 5 minutes.

Alaina Stone

Gosh, Charles, I was hoping to have Ashleigh surprised at the only time an actor has won an Oscar for portraying the opposite sex... But now, I guess I'll have to settle for her to see one of the best performances ever given...

James Falato

Great film and reaction! There was a charming Zoom reunion with some of the cast last year and Arnold crashed (@35:30). It was heartening so see how excited everyone was to reconnect. (see comment above)

Nicole London

There was a little wink in there: when he enters the classroom at the end and says, "I'm back!"

Tyler Foster

Everyone is mentioning Twins because of Arnold, but it's also relevant because it's by Ivan Reitman, who directed this and Ghostbusters. There's a new Ghostbusters movie coming out, a third in the original series, directed by his son Jason Reitman -- the teenage boy Arnold catches making out in an empty room during the fire. He actually shows up in quite a few of his father's movies including Ghostbusters II and the aforementioned Twins. Ivan also directed Dave, another good comedy movie that I sent you last month. A couple of other fun things: the Japanese video game designers who made Silent Hill did not have any visual references for an American elementary school -- so they used the popular movie Kindergarten Cop for reference: https://www.avclub.com/the-original-silent-hill-contains-a-scale-recreation-of-1822117058 Also, Yahoo! Entertainment recently reunited a bunch of the kids from the movie over Zoom, and surprised them by also inviting Arnold: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A2pr6TQ0-8

Tyler Foster

Love "House of Wax"...besides starring the great Vincent Price it is notable as an early screen appearance from Charles Bronson(at that time billed under his given name Charles Buchinsky) and also for the fact it was shot in gorgeous full color 3D by a director, Andre De Toth, who only had one eye

Paul Johnson

Indeed. The fact that she pulled off a male role in that movie is impressive.

Vedexent

Please watch “True Lies” & “Little Giants” 🙂🙂

Melanie

Go for Twins

David Harrison

for anyone that has said True Lies, good for you.

Mark Finley

If you’ve not watched True Lies with Arnold, you definitely should 😊

Laura Sanchez

Ever heard about how the school is remade in the game silent hill?

ingibingi2000

Hi Ash, please watch Eulogy. It’s an all star cast and it’s hilarious!! You won’t be disappointed!!💕

Amy Nielsen

Fun fact: If you go to the house from The Goonies, you can see the school from Kindergarten Cop just a couple blocks down the hill.

Karl Ries

The Principal - the older, rather small lady - is Linda Hunt... And you should seriously think about seeing her Oscar Winning Performance in the 1982 "A Year of Living Dangerously"...

James Falato

Her head would explode watching Jamie Lee Curtis dance in that movie...

Timothy Estrada

Timothy - I am DEAD 😂

Ashleigh Burton

I can see why you're be scared honestly.

Ashleigh Burton

HHAHAHAAH

Ashleigh Burton

Whoever is a top Patron that requests movies has to have her watch True Lies. If she enjoyed this, she’ll love that. The perfect blend of action Arnold with comedy Arnold.

Andrew Hogan

Yeah but once you have seen Kindergarten Cop there is really no need to watch Terminator 2😆😁😆

Mark Sylvester

Great film choice. This is probably my favorite Arnold performance to date.

Joshua Yeager

Ok, that made me laugh. Well played.

Kenton Kruger

The funniest thing about it was this one drunk guy they pranked who talked with the Arnold soundboard for quite a while saying all sorts of incoherent/idiotic things so much so they made a soundboard of him to make more prank calls e.g. "Arnold's drunk calls Pizza Hut" etc.

Paul Johnson

My friend made Arnold and dr phil have a soundboard conversation

ingibingi2000

Hmmm… Star Wars, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Aliens… they all had sequels you watched… you should get on that Terminator 2.😅

Ullatec

"I'm detective John Kimble!" "I'm a cop you idiot!" These lines and others from Arnold's movies were made into a soundboard that was used to prank call various(mostly drunk) people the calls are still floating around the internet they're hilarious....also shout out to Linda Hunt she's good in everything

Paul Johnson

True lies another Arnold movie that’s great!

Vicky phillips

Hey its the movie with the guy from Terminator 2!!!

Timothy Estrada

Everybody loves a happy ending, even when they charge extra

ingibingi2000

This movie had me so scared me as a kid. I was terrified of Crisp.

Lynnetta

If I don't see like a thousand comments that say "it's not a toomah" and "who is yo daddy and what does he do", I'm going to be *very* disappointed in y'all... 🤨

Nestor Custodio

Twins if you want more fun Arnold

theheb24 .

Ever since we saw this movie, whenever my wife has a headache I always ask if it's a tumor. She always responds with that line. A dumb thing but we laugh a little every time and sometimes a little laughter can help with pain.

Bill Bevins

Can't wait for Hallowbeans. I know you are going to have a ton of requests so maybe extend it into November. I don't think anyone would mind. Suggestions for Hallowbeans: The Others, The Omen, The Haunting (63), Vincent Price movies The Pit and The Pendulum and House of Wax.

Bill Bevins

Arnold was never afraid to poke fun at himself. There's a little humor in almost every movie he does. A couple of other comedies he did that were good are Twins with Danny DeVito and The Villian. That was a movie Arnold did early in his career and also starred Kirk Douglas and Ann Margret. It was basically a live action Warner Brothers cartoon.

Bill Bevins

It's not a toomah!!

Lynnetta
