I remember when I was a kid and I would hear about "guerilla fighters" on the evening news...all I could think of was the leather clad soldiers on horseback from the original "Planet of the Apes" lol

-Song in helicopter was "Long Tall Sally", by Little Richard. -Gorilla is the monkey, Guerrilla is a warfare or warfare fighter. -The Native American (Billy) was the best character. :-P

Watching it now, but came by for my regularly scheduled reminder for "Ernest Scared Stupid". HA! Also, sent some movies. Will probably lose every poll cause no one wants to watch movies they never saw (weird to me), but I like to expand myself.

First watch along for hubby and I. I agree that Ripley is an amazing character. Aliens is a favourite of mine.

Hawkins was played by Shane Black who directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3. He was also the writer for Lethal Weapon and other cult classic movies.

Now you did predator you need to watch predator 2 I think it's a little bit better than one myself but I could be in the minority there

For sci-fi scary style movie...you can't beat "Event Horizon". That one is the only one that beats Alien in fear.

So a couple of quick notes, the person you saw getting their spine ripped out was Billy after the predator killed him off screen. Also at the very end, the chopper (or choppa 😁) pilot picking up Dutch was played by the (unfortunately) late Kevin Peter Hall, who also played the predator in the movie (as well as the Bigfoot Harry in Harry and the Hendersons)

Ironically, this movie was released in '86 with the title 'The Thing with the Dreadlocks', but nobody went to see it. So they re-released it with the new name and the rest is history. LOL

2 hours 35? Does anyone know what this version would be then? That's like 50 extra minutes from the original cut. Ok, so she clearly made a mistake here since her video is only 1 hour 48. I'm going to dive in with the standard release and hope for the best. End result? This is the standard release cut.
