They were great in Hear no evil Speak no evil and Sliver Streak.

I'm silently lobbying for Working Girl for the Harrison Ford/Sigourney Weaver double punch.

Okay, so you know I know you love Harrison Ford right? (Redundant much?) So I’m not so sure if anyone has mentioned this one to you, but PATRIOT GAMES is an absolute must for you. I won’t even tell you anything about it, just watch it. You won’t be disappointed.

OMG, I made a comment I WAS SO WRONG! So I deleted it before proving to be a total asstard.
Anyway, SO glad that you love this move. It is amazing, they were hilarious together. They did three movies, I don't think they liked each other in real life but that might have just been Richard talking through his crack pipe.
No seriously, Richard like...hated Gene. I have no idea why.
Might be Gene never had crack.
It was a lot of fun watching with you.
Okay, I said that the first MCU movie was Edward Norton's Hulk and It isn't! My wife just looked at me like...you dumb ass and I'm all like...what?
So then she says, "Jason, " she says, " Iron man is the first, I think you're wrong." and I was like, "No, I don't think so." and I was like...mildly condescending about it?
Like...passive aggressively as if...right?
So I look it up and she' s looking at me, not to see if she's right, but for me to to let her know that I know I'm wrong.
I was wrong.
I was an asstard.
I'm really looking forward to watching you watch Iron Man then Hulk...in that official order.

Did you recognize JoBeth Williams as Meredith? She played the mom in Poltergeist.

I have Amazon Prime and just used it to get the free trial of AMC+, so it was pretty much free for me.

It's a good soft intro to Richard Pryor's all-too-limited film career. He's one of those actors I continue to miss, years later, (Gene too, of course). I think this was Dutch actor Erland van Lidth (Grossberger) first English-speaking role, someone could please correct me though? who also had a brief career in opera.

If you are subscribed to Fubo, you can watch it there for free, but it's only 88 minutes for some reason. I just rented on Google Play, but it's also available on AMC+ if you subscribe. Use the app JustWatch to find where movies are streaming.

Was the highest grossing film directed by an African American at the time.

People who watched them originally didn't have an immediate goal of watching them to get to watch WandaVision.

If you're watching 1 Marvel movie per month to get to the point when you can watch WandaVision, you're going to be waiting almost 2 YEARS because there are literally 22 MCU movies that lead up to that point in the story.

I saw this at the theater. It was popular at the time. It’s a fun movie. MCU? Is this payback for It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World? I can think of no other reason to watch them.

Erland Van Lidth De Jeude who played Grossberger, the big guy, was a really interesting person. He's actually Dutch nobility, he graduated from M.I.T. with a degree in computer science, wich he taught in Manhattan Community College, he was also a wrestler and he won some medals. He was also a trained opera singer and he was in several plays and Operas... he also shows his talents in the movie "The Running Man" (wich you should see sometime) and apparently he was the nicest guy around... He died of heart failure in 1987 sadly

Meredith (JoBeth Williams) also from Poltergeist. She played Craig T. Nelson's wife.

Another hilarious Gene Wilder / Richard Pryor movie is “See no evil, hear no evil” where Richard plays a blind man, while Gene is deaf and they get into mischief together.

The guy who played the officer you recognized is Craig T. Nelson, Meredith was played by JoBeth Williams. the reason you may recognize them is they are the parents from Poltergeist. Funny thing is they shared no scenes together in this
