Kurt still looked relatively young even during the parts of Guardians 2 where they didn't digitally de-age him.

Unfortunately, on release, it only made about half of it's budget back, so was considered a commercial failure. Carpenter was famous for being able to stretch his budgets, but I guess that didn't help in this case.

If you're going to go there, then "Shaolin Soccer" should come first.

While I am a big fan of the movie, I have not had a good record at predicting whether somebody would like the movie or not. I've been wrong in both directions far more than right. It's an interesting film, to say the least.

"Hudson Hawk" is a guilty pleasure. There is so much hate for the movie, but I love it.

The script was HEAVILY adapted from the screenplay to the sequel to "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Across the 8th Dimension)", titled "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai: Against the World Crime League".
Kurt Russel's favorite role was that of Snake Plisskin in "Escape From New York". I highly recommend it

As you're a fan of Kirk I highly recommend you watch Escape from New York. Its in my opinion his most iconic role.

Awesome Ash, so glad you loved this one (personal fave of my own since childhood).
Thanks for the great entertainment.
Not on a similar vein at all but would highly recommend two of my fave movies from the 80s:
- Paris Texas is a beautiful, weird, emotional character piece staring Harry Dean Stanton
- RepoMan is a very weird comedy starring Harry Dean Stanton and Emilio Esteves

Ashleigh, you gotta react to Stand By Me. One of the best soundtracks of the 80s (by far) and a fantastic adventure/comedy/drama to boot. You'll love it!

Yes, Ashleigh, geese are the a-holes of waterfowl. I had forgotten how much exposition was in the first hour of this film! Kurt Russell trying his damnest John Wayne impression throughout. Effects budget must have been out of this world for the early 80s. It's a fun ride.

A perfect movie for March Madness is Arsenic and Old Lace.

There are so many little gold nuggets in this movie that are hard to catch on first viewing. My favourite: Wang and Jack pretending to be electricians/telephone repair men. The disguise: carrying a telephone. XD

Smokey & the Bandit, (not quite a classic, but... No Country for Old Men), and Three Amigos! :-)

In no way am I complaining about your objection to "Free with ads" YouTube movies. With that being said, if you are willing to share, I would like to understand the nature of your position. I personally quite like having that option.

I think iif someone gifts you a copy of a movie that is in your poll it should count as miul;tiple votes to refl;ect that a person wanted you to see it so bad they bought it for you. Also, try to break the trend of picking movies that are Zplaying Free With Ads On YouTube

Big trouble is one of my favorite movies, another movie you should watch is the ghost and the darkness it's great movie based on a true story

Please watch Backdraft. Warning, it ain't no comedy, but it's probably Kurt Russell's best film. He's also in one of the MCU movies too.

If you liked BTILC you simply MUST watch The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension!
W. D. Richter wrote the scripts for both of these movies!
You said about BTILC, "I have not idea what's happening, but I am HERE for it!" Well, multiply that by 1,000,000 with Buckaroo Banzai!!!!

Another movie by one of the writers is my all-time favorite movie: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across The Eighth Dimension. It’s another random movie full of great quotes and epitomizes everything 80’s.

When I was in High School we had a teacher who was IDENTICAL to Thunder from this movie (the guy who blows up) down to the hair style... it was freaky...

Couple bits! The long pinky finger is a symbol of royalty, because you never have to do any manual work of your own, so even your pinky finger nail grows to great lengths
An interesting thing that is often missed about this movie is that it's really a who's who of Asian American actors at the time. And adding on to that, one can miss in the first viewing (but it gets more obvious in subsequent movies) is that Jack isn't the main protagonist in the film. He's got the biggest name in the credits, but it's actually Wang that is the hero of the film. Jack has no idea what he's doing most of the movie, because he's actually the side-kick.

As Edward mentioned, Overboard is another Kurt Russell movie you should watch, and I'm gonna add Stargate to the list. I think you'd love it!

This movie makes me think of my dad. He couldn't pass by this movie, no matter where it was, how far along, he still loved watching it. I think he was always bummed there was never a sequel.

Joe Bob Briggs quote "Some bad guys in San Francisco's China Town are going to steal Kurt Russell's truck, Shoot fire out of their fingernails and turn a whole heck of a lot of thirty foot somersaults for no reason." Love this movie!

Big Trouble has been a fav of mine since it came out. Another good movie with Kurt Russel is Overboard. It’s a romcom of sorts, would’ve been good for February.

This is such a fun movie. James Hong who played Lo Pan is one of my favorite actors. The man has been acting since the 50s is 92 years old and is still acting today. Hes been is everything, movies, tv shows, cartoons, videos games. if you get the chance go to his IMDB page and look at his career. its amazing.
