What's next? February Uploads!
Added 2021-01-25 15:00:22 +0000 UTCHiii - yes - hello! It's been a hot second since I've shared a poll and I have many more coming, but until then, help me pick what is up FIRST for Rom/Com and things. 🥰
I got these titles from the YT comments, Instagram, and of course you guys!
Naturally - Groundhog Day is going up February 1st.
Y'all knew I had to fit my man, Bill Murray in this line up.😍
The MMMembers have picked some really great movies for Feb and I think you're going to love them, too! I'm keeping them a secret, but trust me, they fit the love theme and your favorite is probably on there 🤪

Fatal Attraction! Oh man scary!!!

2021-02-05 22:56:48 +0000 UTCPretty Woman, just because Roy Orbison sings the song so well. What? The movie? Well....
William Wall
2021-01-31 21:05:45 +0000 UTCI don't like any of those movies but I think it would be fun to watch you and The Hubbin watch Pretty Lady together. He's a doll.
Terrel Geer
2021-01-30 10:49:13 +0000 UTCI feel like you'd love Cool Runnings, a feel good comedy that also stars the legend that is John Candy :D
Gaz
2021-01-28 20:03:58 +0000 UTCThe exact two I put in my comment, haha.
Tyler Foster
2021-01-27 22:34:35 +0000 UTCI'm glad I'm not the only one! I think Ashleigh may be tired of hearing me suggest it...
Tyler Foster
2021-01-27 22:33:56 +0000 UTCLethal Weapon actually has romantic and comedy in the sequels...🤔😏💯
Danika Silva
2021-01-27 21:22:06 +0000 UTCShe watched Home Alone w/him, which he had seen, and at the end, she answered questions. Hubben has not seen many of the films, like her, but he has seen Pretty Woman & Titanic. He said, those two he wanted her to see. He’s also a very big Titanic history buff, so that one will be esp fun w/his trivia knowledge.

2021-01-27 19:55:15 +0000 UTCAll three are great! But I think Pretty Woman should be the first one. But I have always wondered has Hubbin seen all the movies you react to or has he not seen a lot of these movies either?

2021-01-27 15:02:37 +0000 UTCAmerican Graffiti 1973...Written and directed by Pre Star Wars George Lucas..Starring Ron Howard,Richard Dryfus,Cindy Williams and Harrison Ford.

2021-01-27 00:13:09 +0000 UTCYep! 😝 But you gotta do it. That film left a mark and is not easily forgotten. I listed the films in order according to their relationship dynamics, from comedy to seriously effed up. For me, Dolores Clairborne is the worst: “Sometimes being a b*tch is all a woman’s got to hold onto.”

2021-01-27 00:11:19 +0000 UTCYooooooo!!! Fatal Attraction would take to whole new levels of shook nasty! 🤣

2021-01-26 22:37:21 +0000 UTCGround Hog Day!!
Jerrod Acree
2021-01-26 22:22:27 +0000 UTCCouple ppl suggested anti-Valentine’s. I’d be down w/that. They went slasher; I went romance gone wrong: FIRST WIVES CLUB (1996) Comedy/Rom-Com (divorced) BODY HEAT (1981) Noir/Crime (forbidden) FATAL ATTRACTION (1987) Thriller/Drama (affair) WHAT LIES BENEATH (2000) Thriller/Horror (married) DOLORES CLAIBORNE (1995) Drama/Mystery (effed up)

2021-01-26 19:53:03 +0000 UTCAll good choices, for varying reasons, but I decided on Pretty Woman. Oh, and looking above to the comment from Kenneth Donnelly, Critters is a fun watch.
Susan AKA Maisy13(YT) AKA Susan_is_still_in_progress (threads,IG)
2021-01-26 17:14:32 +0000 UTCOscar (1991) staring Sylvester Stallone is a great romantic comedy
christopher brown
2021-01-26 15:15:38 +0000 UTCwhat about an Anti-Valentines movie............Hellraiser (kinda work there is a love story in there) Human Centipede, Critters, Phantasm, Wishmaster, The Howling, Werewolf in London, The Fly, Little Shop of Horrors (directed by Frank Oz the voice of Kermit, stars Rick Moranis, John Candy, Steve Martin) The Evildead 2............
2021-01-26 10:46:59 +0000 UTCBetter Off Dead with John Cusack!
Rick Deckard
2021-01-26 08:33:55 +0000 UTCThere are so many good romantic comedies to choose from. I will mention three: Only the Lonely starring John Candy. While You were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock and a bit of an oddball choice of Better Off Dead with Jon Cusack.
Rob Stoll
2021-01-26 07:41:17 +0000 UTCKnow what! I think she mentioned she had that on her list. She’ll get a kick outta that one.
Gio Vidrio
2021-01-26 03:30:06 +0000 UTCAshleigh, have you seen Romancing the Stone? That's a really fun adventure romance starring Kathleen Turner, Michael Douglas, and Danny DeVito. Might be another good pick for February!
Nessa Arandur
2021-01-26 03:02:00 +0000 UTCSomething about Mary is funny, but Pretty Woman really is an old classic. Not sure how well it holds up nowadays, so I will be interested to see your reaction without that nostalgia factor that so many of us have.
Nessa Arandur
2021-01-26 03:00:16 +0000 UTCJust out of curiosity ... Why are the MMMembers’ picks a secret?

2021-01-26 01:58:26 +0000 UTCGroundhog Day please.
2021-01-26 00:09:12 +0000 UTCThere has to be one Classic in every theme month (it's GOOD for you!), and just like It's a Wonderful Life was the December classic, Casablanca has to be the February classic.
Eric Janssen
2021-01-25 23:57:52 +0000 UTCWhen Harry Met Sally is one of the best romantic comedies!Moonstruck is also good.
AmyGENX
2021-01-25 23:37:07 +0000 UTCAs I understand it, all of those choices will occur in February. The poll is to decide the order.
Edward Olson
2021-01-25 23:32:20 +0000 UTCI love 16 candles. It has more humor than romance so she might find it fun. I frankly thought the Breakfast Club was quite boring. A decent message but really slow.
Emily Smith
2021-01-25 22:51:25 +0000 UTCMy Girl is a good love story IMO.
2021-01-25 21:27:55 +0000 UTCI hope my suggestion of "Moonstruck" has made it into the February lineup. 1942's "Casablanca" tops the American Film Institutes list of most romantic stories of all time. If you've never seen it, do. Another of the great romantic classics is, "An Affair to Remember." "An Affair to Remember is a 1957 American romance film directed by Leo McCarey and starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. Filmed in CinemaScope, it was distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is considered one of the most romantic films of all time, according to the American Film Institute." - Wikipedia entry

2021-01-25 21:23:58 +0000 UTCHave Hubben watch with you no matter what movie is chosen!
Billy Dancel
2021-01-25 21:18:25 +0000 UTCAlso please consider Sixteen Candles, another John Hughes film
Mo Vetta
2021-01-25 19:28:45 +0000 UTCI know we pushed hard for WHEN HARRY MET SALLY as a holiday choice, but the film covers a span of time. It’s not just a holiday movie. And it’s really good ... I think you would like it. It emphasizes friendship more than romance; and, it’s hilarious. Pls incl it in the next poll. 🙏

2021-01-25 19:20:35 +0000 UTCAs a suggestion for a feb choice, I recommend Sleepless in Seattle
David Lorenz Valdez
2021-01-25 19:03:35 +0000 UTCWhoa, that took a turn ... I’m not mad about it.

2021-01-25 18:38:20 +0000 UTCI liked him in The Sure Thing. Not really a must-see — it’s a typical coming of age; but, I have a fondness for that movie.
Be Kind
2021-01-25 18:28:59 +0000 UTCI don’t care if Hubben’s there, just so long as she sees Ghost. I think she would like it since it heavily features mystery and suspense. 🧐😲
Be Kind
2021-01-25 18:22:59 +0000 UTCTo me, Pretty In Pink & Sixteen Candles are nostalgia films for aud who identified w/those feelings of not being good enough for the popular group/rich kids in school. I don’t believe they will hold up to fresh aud who can’t relate, and I don’t think Ashleigh will like them. She wasn’t crazy about The Breakfast Club, which was the best of these films, and she hates pink. She also hates typical rom-coms, and these films are only about young love.
Be Kind
2021-01-25 18:16:32 +0000 UTCI wish Better Off Dead with John Cusack was available for streaming - a classic rom-com from the 1980's that doesn't get the attention it deserves. A classic romance from the 80's with John Cusack is Say Anything...
Cristina Collins-Armstrong
2021-01-25 18:08:19 +0000 UTCYessss!!!
Gio Vidrio
2021-01-25 17:59:48 +0000 UTCGhost needs to make the poll next week
ingibingi2000
2021-01-25 17:59:02 +0000 UTCFor a great rom-com that doesn't get enough love, I recommend Kate & Leopold. It's got Hugh Jackman in it. LOVE it. I think you'd enjoy it too.
Arki Kali
2021-01-25 17:42:42 +0000 UTCThere’s Something About Mary is sooo good too! I hope it comes back to the poll (if it doesn’t win). I actually think she would like this one best out of the three bc it favors comedy over romance.
Be Kind
2021-01-25 17:38:49 +0000 UTCIf want a good sampling of the complete John Hughes oeuvre, throw in Sixteen Candles.
Dan Helphrey
2021-01-25 17:38:33 +0000 UTCYes, it is.
Dan Helphrey
2021-01-25 17:34:42 +0000 UTCOh, man. It’s a Sophie’s Choice! I’m voting Pretty Woman bc Hubben already mentioned it; it has famous quotes and montage scenes; and it’s the film that shot Julia Roberts to super-stardom.
Be Kind
2021-01-25 17:32:45 +0000 UTCObligatory request for When Harry Met Sally :) Another really good rom-com would be Moonstruck.
Tyler Foster
2021-01-25 17:20:10 +0000 UTCJust as long as you and Hubben have a date night to Ghost as well! 🙏🏼❤️
Gio Vidrio
2021-01-25 17:14:17 +0000 UTCThis is one of those times where I have seen none of these movies.
Lance Romanoff
2021-01-25 17:12:31 +0000 UTCMovie recommendations: Secret of My Success (1987), Transformers: The Movie (1986 animated classic), Dirty Dancing, National Lampoon's Vacation

Danika Silva
2021-01-25 16:12:27 +0000 UTCLethal Weapon 2,3,and 4 lol 😆
Danika Silva
2021-01-25 16:11:56 +0000 UTCSomething About Mary will introduce you to 2 or maybe 3 new actors you'll want to watch more movies with.
Thomas Ivie
2021-01-25 16:07:10 +0000 UTCIt's a later movie, but a favorite for me. Humor, romance (have to admit, I don't pick movies for their romance), some skin (minor), fun acting. Shakespeare in Love.
Mark Lee
2021-01-25 15:48:59 +0000 UTCSomething About Mary(with Hubben) Also Some like it Hot is a must in Feb
christopher brown
2021-01-25 15:38:14 +0000 UTCI voted for Something About Mary. Very funny movie.

2021-01-25 15:18:09 +0000 UTCI love all of them so you can't go wrong!
2021-01-25 15:16:12 +0000 UTCHonestly I'd be happy with any of these three!
Kenton Kruger
2021-01-25 15:12:23 +0000 UTCfor valentines day i'd suggest, My Bloody Valentine (1981) the remake isnt too bad but THREE D... Valentine (2001) ok they are Slashers, why should halloween be left out of the slasher movies..;)
Eric Greenwood
2021-01-25 15:11:46 +0000 UTCPlease tell me you're planning on watching "when Harry met Sally". Sleeper choice (no pun is "while you were sleeping"

2021-01-25 15:05:25 +0000 UTCGood options. I like Pretty Woman, but LOVE There's Something About Mary. Hilarious movie!
