As I mentioned in the last chapter, I’m bringing you the line art for the new illustration of Carol. I finally managed to find some time to fix it up and improve certain details.
As you’ll notice, what I focused on the most was her hair. For quite a while, I was very indecisive about what kind of cut she should have, but I think I’ve finally found one I really like—it also somewhat matches the hairstyle I gave her in her first full illustration, though clearly longer and more stylized.
My only dilemma now is whether or not to keep the short lock of hair on her forehead. It’s obviously a reference to the little curl Clark usually has in his hairstyle (since, well, they are siblings), but I’m not sure it fits very well with the rest of the haircut.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions on that.
I hope I can color this soon and upload it as a complete illustration.
Anyway, I’ve been quite busy lately, but I think the workload is finally starting to ease up, leaving me with more free time to write and, if I’m lucky, to draw even more as well.
(P.S. With the release of the new trailer for Invincible Season 4, I’ve decided to start working on Almost Invincible again. I know many of you are eager for new chapters and to pick up where we left off, but after a long and deep reflection, I decided the best course of action was to rewrite everything from the beginning—just like I did with Still Defiant back in the day.
There are many reasons for this, but honestly, much of what happened in Almost Invincible was written on the fly. At first, I didn’t take the story seriously and was just writing for the sake of writing, until at some point I decided to commit to it—but by then, there were already issues I couldn’t fix, at least not without rewriting some parts.
Well, it’s going to be a tough job, but the rewrite is on the way. I can’t give an exact release date yet, since I first want to focus on reworking all the chapters I had already published, then start translating them, and once all that’s done, upload them here on Patreon.
It’ll probably take a month or two, but I promise it will be back.)
