Alright guys, I think I finally finished the new illustration :D!

I wish I could’ve added a lot more detail, but I’m still not good enough yet. For now, my drawing skills have reached a point where I just can’t find ways to refine it any more than it already is, even though I know it could still be improved. It’s unfortunate, but it’s also natural.

That said, I’m mostly satisfied with the work I did. I think I’ve made a lot of progress since the first drawings I made for this story, and I hope to keep improving even more.

On the other hand, I also made a pretty dumb mistake.

As you know, I made this thinking it could be the new cover for the story on several of the sites where I publish it. Well, it was only when I was almost done with it that it hit me—the image is way too... uniform?

I don’t know if that’s the right word. The point is, most sites ask for an image that’s taller than it is wide. If the image has dimensions that are too similar on both sides, when you upload it, it tends to make a weird zoom that crops it and leaves it incomplete, in the best-case scenario.

And yes, you guessed it—this illustration is almost the same height and width hahaha.

And that’s just one of the problems. The other is that I completely forgot that a cover is supposed to have a title—a title I didn’t make space for or think about where to put until I was done...

Well, it’s not the end of the world. I’ll figure out later how to fix it. Maybe I can increase the height and put the title there, although that might make it look weird...

Setting aside my silly complaints, I’d love to know what you think! Even though it’s technically finished, if anyone has any suggestions or advice that might help polish the illustration a bit more, I’ll be happy to hear it and try to do it.

For those wondering when the next chapter of Still Defiant will be out, I hope to have it ready by tomorrow or Saturday night (depending on your time zone).
