Status Update: Post-Surgery

Hey ya'll, its been about a week since I had the surgery done on my nose to fix its underlying issues. The surgery was (as far as I can tell) a success, and I already feel A LOT better in many ways. I can breath much more easily and haven't gotten a random headache since the surgery was completed. I can tell that air is flowing much better now, so overall I think this is going to improve things a lot for me.

However, I am still technically in recovery for 3-4 weeks (and a full year to be totally healed). On some days I have felt very stuffy and am suffering from a lot of aches and pains in my nose. It can feel very irritated, and the post surgery care instructions forbid me from cleaning it out or touching it in general. As you might imagine, this can be bothersome to the point where its hard to really focus on anything, making art difficult.

That said, I have been drawing for the past 2 days and feel up for drawing more. I imagine some days in the next few weeks the pain may be too much, but ideally I'll be able to get back to work now once I've completely shaken off the rust.

I really appreciate all the love, patience, and support I have been given throughout this difficult period. It really means a lot that so many people care about my well-being and appreciate me beyond just my art output. That said, I DO want to get back to doing art, and I am aiming to resume regular scheduled posting next Monday. Here's hoping it works out!
