2025-06-09 14:49:39 +0000 UTCI have a confession to make - I didn't really enjoy the Christmas/Holiday specials until "The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe." I don't really count "The End of Time Part 1" as a Christmas special. However, this one and the next few are episodes I rewatch on occasion just on their own merits. I'm glad you realized who Clara was before the Doctor did. Not every reactor does. Most of us watching live did because of the BBCs casting announcements and Moffat's fake-out at the beginning of the series. I have another confession to make - I've been unsubscribing from Patreons left and right, but I had to see this reaction. Terrible impulse control on my part. I don't know how long I can stay here, but I really did love watching your reaction to this and the last episodes. There's so much good stuff coming up that I'll probably stick around a bit longer.

Watching her die in the first episode had me thinking they had pulled a fast one on us. Seeing her coming back left me thinking "you did it again!" I just wish they could do something without spoiling the crap out of it in advance.

It's just, fyi that means something very different in the UK, and can often feel mildly weird hearing it in a different context. Australians use it the way you do as well. I grew up hearing it used that way in Aussie soaps. Then I got older and UK slang warped it's usage more so. Which makes it a little more jarring to hear. 🫢

What?"

But you come to find out in this episode it's a very fourth wall break of her looking at the audience and just going .. and remember me cause I'll be back! lol It's very cool.
