2026-02-20 00:42:54 +0000 UTCIf you really want to understand Rudy? And I know your likely just saying that as it's interesting to try to figure out what he is going though. But in the Light Novel you basically hear almost all of Rudy's thoughts. It's so different from the anime! That's not a problem or gripe with the anime it's almost impossible to have the protagonist constantly talking to themselfs every scene. That would ruin the anime. But after season 2 or 3 of the anime. If you like reading I suggest slowly picking up the Light Novel. If you still like the series. It's amazing. And while I love the anime. The Light Novel is legendary. But yes Rudy non-stop thinks to himself, you learn so much more about how he reasons things, a bit more about his past, his side goals, what he wants in life. The anime does a great job at giving us a "silent Rudy" that still feels like "Rudy" but in the Light Novel Rudy is anything but silent if you know what I mean. lol Yes this part of the show where he is going though a very hard time. Even Rudy's inner thoughts and feelings seem a miss and Rudy himself cannot quite put it to words. So it's just as Jarring but in a different way.

2026-02-19 12:27:56 +0000 UTCYou seem to be missing an important point. Rudeus is an unreliable narrator. What he thinks (says in his mind) often doesn't correspond to his true feelings. This episode is particularly clear. Rudeus says he's not attached to the group, but when he finds Mimir, he suffers. Rudeus tells himself he's not attached to Sarah and doesn't want to save her, that he doesn't care about her, but as soon as he sees her, he rushes to help without a second thought.

They don't like showing them on screen, even though Dead End met ents on every continent. It's gonna byte them in the ass one day. The snow ents in this episode cast ice magic over your head when you're not looking. You're right, Eris and Sara are not so much alike. I would say Rudy is just hard projecting.

From episode 13 onwards, there's a new opening absolutely do not watch it, it's full of spoilers. Watch it after episode 22, as it won't be shown in episodes 23 and 24.

Man I am looking forward to your next reactions :D BTW Zenith is on the Begaritt continent - The world has three major continents, the "human" continent on the west, the demon continent on the east and then to the south is Begaritt. Rudeus is in the northern part of the human continent right now.
