2026-02-03 03:18:19 +0000 UTCThis is just my opinion. I could be reading to much into it. But yes I think enough evidence so far even in the anime to show that Eris loves Rudy. Not just likes him. Even as far back as episode 8 she has some feelings for Rudy. Be it in a more innocent way. And having her parents pestering her to marry Rudy etc. But skipping all that... after the forest with Geese Eris wanted to learn how to cook. It was not just implied it was pretty much stated that she wanted to cook for Rudy. Not in a hes my friend kind of way. Then you have scenes with her on/after the ship rides where she actually says to Rudy that she would not mind a little "touching..." If I'm not mistaken and I might be? That was over a year ago story wise? And she was already starting to feel that way. And given shes a tsundere she was probably holding back! Fast forward to how dramatically close she got to Rudy after almost losing him to Orsted. She has been pretty much side by side Rudy for how many years in the show now? 5-6 years I think? Yes when I was watching this in the anime before even reading the light novel. I was pretty convinced that Eris loves Rudy. But that's just my opinion. We will have to see what happens next. I won't say if my opinion changed or not only what I assumed at the time.

2026-02-03 03:01:05 +0000 UTCYes sorry I can't give Eris much slack on this one. To me while there is some understanding. I feel bad for Rudy and it's hard not to get upset at Eris here. I don't blame Rudy. I get that it's a deep situation though. And with only the context that we know so far. It's difficult. I feel like Eris can be forgiven based on the state shes in. But that does not mean she was in the right etc. It may not have been the best time to do the deed! They are both to blame for that. However was that even the main factor here it's hard to say.

They've been traveling together for over 2 years at this point, he loses Ruijerd, Eris, and Ghislane (again) immediately.. All the sudden he's alone. There's a lot to go over - and maybe the anime will go over it in more detail later.. I'll be curious to see the reaction to the next episode. I was one of the ones saying you should binge the rest of the season - I think it would help your mentality.. It is 24 episodes but ep 23 is the "finale" to season 1 - episode 24 is an OVA that takes place back in Millis (religious city)...

2026-02-02 23:14:56 +0000 UTCA LOT was cut from LN, but I'm actually not gonna post it because anime is doing a rudy only perspective on purpose (LN shows everyones perspective, and we do see eris's side of things in it). I actually encourage you NOT to look this up. I don't think anime is gonna leave this out forever, just show it later instead. The anime is told purely from rudeus' perspective so we're only supposed to know what he knows in any given moment. This actually improves empathy toward his feelings and perspective and makes upcoming arc much more sensible. I agree with anime doing it this way. Other commenters, I also hope you'll respect the anime's direction on this and not share LN point of views yet.

The story is so real it's depressing ^^ And yeah, regarding "binging the end" - I know I was one of the people suggesting it, but I also said it "might be too much for you" :D Cause I know there would probably be some... issues :D Also love how Chillih straight went to being angry af xD Felt the exact same way when I first read it. I couldn't believe it! Well, don't worry guys. The story is not over yet, I mean, life has to go on right?
